About Homecrest House

Homecrest House is a mission based, nonprofit and non-denominational community. Homecrest is located in Silver Spring, Maryland and neighbors with Leisure World. Homecrest has been serving low and very low-income seniors and adults with physical qualified mobility disabilities for over 45 years. We are subsidized by a variety of agencies and rent is based on a resident’s income and assets. We offer two programs, an independent living 235 apartment building with a meal program and the Edwards Building offers enhanced care service program. These services include bathing, housekeeping, laundry services, daily meals and an optional medication administration.

    Mother-in-law lives here and now there are mice in her apartment for multiple days. She called maintenance and a person came up without even a mouse trap. She called again and no response. Exterminator scheduled to come to the building at the end of the week. Why doesn’t management at least support the panicked resident... read full comment

    The staff at Homecrest House is very professional and treat me with a level of Safety, Security and Care. I would definitely recommend them!

    Very homey environment. Residents and staff are very sweet. Love the lake and the outdoor walking area. Beautiful.
