“We have bought two appliances from Bray and Scarff at the Arlington location since moving into our house 6 years ago. The first was a refrigerator - and it was excellent. We went to the store, had a helpful associate show us models, and - boom - a day later had a new refrigerator.Where Bray and Scarff really shined and impressed us, however, was with our recent stovetop purchase. I won't belabor you with the long story, but the TLDR is that we had tried for months to buy a new stove top from an associate at B&S -- and it was dismal. Endless emails back and forth. We paid for two measurements. And we were constantly chasing the associate.I was about to give up, but then a new associate - Ali - stepped in to help me. WOW What a phenomenal change. Ali was thoughtful, fast, and driven to help us get the stove we wanted. He responded to emails and texts within minutes - not weeks. He got the measurement perfect, communicated very precisely about the details, ordered our Wolf induction stovetop within a few short days (as a pose to MONTHS without ordering from the prior associate) and the second things were delivered, scheduled our install. He was also thoughtful and consultative - not pushing us in one direction or the other, but really helping execute our desires.The crew that did the install was also excellent: kind, thoughtful and were clearly experts. They had to cut about an inch into the countertop, remove parts of our internal cabinetry, and had to do complex removal and setup of the fan system from the crawl space. They did the whole thing in a few short hours and ensured cleanup was done properly.Ali and his team are absolutely amazing. If you go to buy an appliance at B&S - ask for him. You won't be disappointed.”

We were looking for an appliance for a rental unit as well as a refrigerator for our home.
It was obvious from only a few minutes into our conversation about the Appliance we needed for our rental unit that Kurt was a subject matter expert and knew his stuff very well .
Many of the people working at the flashier appliance stores like bray and scarf, or at the big box stores, are well intention but they simply don’t have the same level of expertise that Kurt and fellow Appliance land staff members have.
We weren’t intending to buy a refrigerator from Applianceland but they met, actually beat the Costco sales price, so we bought that unit from them as well .
I very heartily recommend Appliance land because it seems like an outfit that has the expertise and knowledge to help you pick the right appliance for your needs.
I had done my research and can smell bs a mile away but I did not get any bs or any up selling.
One last thing, the delivery team did an excellent job installing the rental appliance in not the easiest of spaces.”

“We’ve had to replace several appliances in our home over the past year, and it was an unpleasant experience with every store we tried — Best Buy, Bray & Scarff, and Costco — . There were defective appliances, poor install and poor service when the appliance had an issue. Our most recent purchase of a dishwasher at ABW was the exception. Our salesperson Prayer was fantastic, and the service was outstanding in every way. Prayer was knowledgeable and informative but not pushy.
Something people don’t always consider when buying appliances is the install process and who will handle service if something goes wrong. The service technicians at ABW are extremely knowledgeable, respectful of your time and home, and the entire process is well-organized from start to finish. The delivery team stayed and tested our dishwasher and were not rushed to leave even though we were their last delivery. This is in marked contrast to our other deliveries. The service guys are also fantastic. The ABW team truly aims to help you with everything. I only wish I had found them sooner.”

“Brothers Sew & Vac at 3317 Connecticut Ave., NW, between Macomb and Ordway Sts., is where I have been taking my 2000-2001 Miele vacuum cleaner for repair for almost 5-7 years. They’re great. The nicest guy works there, Assane (pronounced like Hassan without the H), and he does much of the repair work himself. I was last in there in 2019, and I remembered how great he was the last time. It’s not cheap getting my Miele vacuum repaired, but they do a great job and know their business. Check them out.”

“I went to this Home Depot yesterday to find a metal, NOT plastic, flat dustpan. After finding the dustpan, I noticed they had a ton of these Fill Stick Wood Repair Paint Pens, all kinds. While realizing all the choices I had, I must have looked undecided and confused ( which I was), a kind perceptive employee noticed that I looked lost( which I was also). I had chosen the two Filler Pens I needed, but was trying to return a third un- needed pen to it's proper shelf. I couldn't find where I had found it. I imagine the employees watch customers trying to replace their unwanted items in their proper location all the time! Anyway, this young man, Carlton, came to help me as a courteous gesture, and I am grateful for this conscientious Home Depot employee. He said don't worry, I will find the spot where it belongs. Thank you, CARLTON!!!

There were some issues with the fridge out of the box (manufacturing issues) and Sean worked with me for weeks until it was resolved. He was always very helpful in addressing the problems and I knew I could trust that it would be resolved. In the past I have purchased washer/dryers from other stores and addressing any post install issues was a nightmare. With DAD's you get a fair price, great customer service/follow up and the right appliance for your needs.”

The online capabilities helped a lot and made everything smoother and easier. Jane worked hard to find us what we needed at a good price.
