“Update: 8/22/2025 wanted to update since my initial review is pretty old.
Still a great store with a real butcher, and once again as always, a great experience. I wanted a roast size cut of ribeye which obviously they don't generally carry in the aisle meat case, so I walked up to the butcher area and quickly received help. I explained exactly what I wanted and without hesitation, the butcher said I can do that!

While I was being helped another butcher coming through the back door motion to me and ask if I was being helped and I said yes, after I received the perfect cut of ribeye at about two and a half pounds, for steak sandwiches this weekend, that second butcher again double check with me in the aisle to make sure I had been taken care of. What exactly more could you ask for?

Every employee spoke to me in the aisles, and as always the store was super clean well stocked , just another a great experience as I've always had here! This is one of the only if not the only regular grocery store actually can cut meat the way you like it. I hope that never ever changes!

I don't know, I just don't have that much difficulty as some others do, sometimes it makes me wonder so I wanted to update my review to current!

“It is an absolute pleasure to do business at the Ruxton pharmacy on Bologna Avenue in Ruxton, Maryland! Number one they are friendly and they answer their phones. I have dealt with other pharmacies for years and became so frustrated when I couldn’t reach anyone on the phone over and over again or stood in long wait lines or was told that they didn’t have the proper information after I stay on hold for a long time. “The best thing I ever did was switched my prescriptions to JP Pharmacy from Walgreens! JP is so nice , courteous and knowledgeable. He’s fast and efficient when it comes to filling my prescriptions. The prescriptions are ready under an hour. I highly recommend JP Pharmacy! He gets 10 stars from me”

“Safeway Pharmacy at Towson, Offers the comfort of extended hours with grocery shopping.
Amazing service with medications and refills and reminders.
With that being said, they did not upload my immunizations in Mychart for upto a year .
After a reminder, still waiting for them to transfer to Mychart.”

“I came to this pharmacy because I needed a prescription that required compounding. There were a few problems with my prescription as it was given to me by the doctor's office, but the staff here were extremely kind and helpful about it. As a nursing mother just a few weeks postpartum, I so appreciated the way the staff helped me understand the issues with my prescription, troubleshoot in the moment so I could still get what I needed, and quickly resolved the problem without any fuss and without making me do anything extra. They even communicated to me that they expected the fill to take a few days due to vacations, but they actually called me the very next morning to tell me that my prescription was ready for pickup. Start to finish, even though I brought them a prescription with a couple issues, the staff here were above and beyond in terms of friendliness, helpfulness, and efficiency.”

“Having just recently moved to MD from VT, I had to transfer my prescriptions from my pharmacy in VT and chose Giant. The process was seamless and the staff at the Pharmacy were wonderful.”

“I have never waited more than 5 minutes to pick something up, and the staff has always been friendly enough. The pharmacist has been helpful and friendly every time I needed something. I have been going here exclusively for 6 years and have never had any issues (I am there at least once a month).”

“I went to the 1000 Taylor avenue Baltimore MD 21286 CVS to pickup meds this morning. Recently my insurance company changed the pharmacy to the CVS I wasn’t sure how will be CVS but they were Friendly and fast work and good prices for my meds too. So I was looking around the store to compared prices to other stores and find out that some items were beyond good. Such as a cereal, blue diamond almonds and snacks. I’m definitely going back to see what they have on sale.”

“MAJOR change in customer service. Like the previous reviews, visiting this location was torture. I went yesterday after visiting urgent care and had the pleasure to meet Deja. I had to tell her in person how much of a breath of fresh air she was. She respected every single customer she had and used common sense to sanitize the area after possible exposure to illness. She also made sure that my prescriptions were filled before lunch although she told me she could not promise they would be done. When I went to the store area, there was another young lady stocking aisles. I asked her one question about toilet paper and she was in service mode! I did not have to ask the young lady to check the back, she offered and did it on her own (something anyone else would have just said what’s on the shelf is what we have). Keep in mind she was stocking the store. I went to check out and the manager could not focus so this young lady saw the back and forth encounter of trying to get it together and she stepped in and offered to handle it. It may not be a big deal for some but as long as these two young ladies are there, I believe your experience will be pleasant. Now, the one star deduction is because that Pharmacy Tech and the Pharmacist seem to not realize that they are customer facing employees. The Pharmacy Tech is rude and cold. The Pharmacist just looks right through you. I did not have to talk to them this visit but to look in someone’s face and not speak is rude in this field. In previous times, the Pharmacy Tech told me to order medicine off Amazon, I was in shock. If anyone knows how Amazon really works, this is not okay. It is also weird to me that they will not fill a prescription that has the name of a medicine they carry the counter even if it is a higher dosage. They expect someone to take 3-9 pills when they could just provide one pill like the doctor prescribed. If my dose is 1500mg and over the counter is 250mg per pill… just no; especially when I had more prescriptions to take, was standing there with a blood filled mouth from surgery, and was in one of the worst pains of my life. Using common sense and being kind should not be hard.”

“I want to take the time and thank the pharmacy staff for helping me. I been here several times at different parts of the day. Each time I was helped, treated with respect and able to get my prescription. One time a pharmacist has stayed past his break to help me with a prescription and I really appreciate it because I was in pain and not feeling well that day.Also I was a little frustrated because the pharmacist was having problems processing my prescription. He was able to resolve the issue and I greatly appreciated! Another time I had a pharmacist caught a high dose of a medication . I also greatly appreciated that.
I’ve been through drive thru and each time the employee was helpful.”

“I hope you read this review first. This CVS deserves at minimum, a 3-4 star overall rating. As an executive hospital administrator, I have worked in countless healthcare settings, seen more 'shenanigans' if you will than most. The pharmacy staff is absolutely incredible. Their level of communication, honesty, attempts to help their patients, etc. is 2nd to very few. I have read the other reviews on here and have ascertained that the people reviewing poorly have virtually zero understanding of how a healthcare system works. CVS as a company and healthcare entity itself is morally corrupt, but the pharmacists, techs and healthcare workers who took the assignment to work in healthcare at this location are doing things well, in my professional opinion. As a patient YOUR health is YOUR responsibility. CVS is not your personal doctor and your health insurance company is likely to blame for the issues you might have at the pharmacy or clinic. The younger Asian woman who is the overnight/evening pharmacist is truly incredible at direct communication. Her ability to direct and manage hundreds of patients at night on her own is incredible. Also, I HIGHLY recommend everyone try GoodRx or GoodRx Gold (not sponsored) if you're struggling with medication costs.”
