“Each Dollar General, although following the same formula (employees stock AND tend to customers), varies significantly by the quality of its employees. Cheshire, MA DG is one of the best I've been in throughout the country. Still, upper management clearly cares more about moving cheap merchandise than its customers, and the customers don't seem to mind.”
“I recently visited the Sangar General Store for the delicious food and warm atmosphere. The well-known samosas had a mild heat profile that perfectly balanced the traditional spices used, making it truly authentic. I highly recommend trying any other Indian dishes or beverages, especially the rice pudding which was not pictured but definitely should not be missed. There are additional household items available for purchase. Seating inside and a couple of chairs in front. The owner was also lovely and extremely helpful, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely be returning to compare the tamarind and mint condiments.”

The wraps, prepared foods, baked goods, and catering support were all fresh, delicious, and beautifully done. Williamstown is lucky to have a market and team like this. “Staff is nice. Management philosophy understaffs location (not just this store - only way for employees to catch up, it seems, is if someone stocks shelves on their own time), forcing the store to have unstocked shelves and boxes all over the place. Every time I visit, employees are not at register but out on floor stocking. No other store forces employees to do both. I hope they are paid more than other retail stores because they definitely work harder.”

“There is no substitute for being able to scan and bag as you shop with little kids. Are they asking for too many things? Getting cranky? Won't stay in the cart? Just go check out without waiting in line! Great selection, good prices, clean. Many great "car carts" as we call them to push the kids around in. Always a good selection of day old beads at discounted prices.”
“Besides the fact that it's a miniature Walmart, with nothing that cost a dollar, great spot to pick up some Doritos of any flavor or an endless supply of knock off cereal. Solid candy selection, fast card reader, and lots of random stuff you'd never buy unless you were at Dollar general.”

“I love this place I live around the corner from it and we shop here all the time their lunch meats are amazing their meats in general are amazing their prices are great for what you're getting and they got damn near everything you need”
