“My visit to this bookstore was absolutely delightful. The carefully curated bookshelves, adorned with staff recommendations, added a charming human touch in this digital age. I was particularly touched by the section proudly displaying “banned books sold here, love freedom.” This place is incredibly LGBTQIA+ friendly, and I’m thrilled I had the opportunity to explore it during my time in Boston.”

“The staff here are very nice and super helpful! I was looking for a air fryer cookbook for my roommate and two of the staff helped me search through their cooking section for it. When we couldn’t find it, they looked on the computer and even went to the back room to find a copy for me. 10/10 customer service :)”

“Don't just come here during Black History Month. Right in the heart of Nubian Sq you will find this gem of a bookstore. There are so many books to choose from that have a variety of categories. Whether it is newer things that have just come out or those that are classic that have been around for a while that are important to have read. Please stop buying books online (amazon sucks) & give the small, POC, mom & pop support, they need it.”

“Was looking for a place to donate books and came across More Than Words. Despite being in a tricky location, they made it easy with great signage and parking spots (a rarity in Boston)! Inside, it's a charming, magical, community-like store with much more than just books - great gifts, clothes, etc. We should all support!”

“I love this little bookshop and visit it often! Great selection of all kinds of books with fair prices, and you can sell used books here too. They have a great inventory of gifts and puzzles as well. The owners are really nice and knowledgeable, and they have a good rewards program. This has become my go-to shop for buying books!”

“I always think that a bookseller who knows their inventory is a true gem, and today I found gems at I AM books.I particularly came all the way from Fenway (where I am staying for only two days, I live in Maryland!) To see this bookstore that everyone wrote such beautiful reviews about, and what a delight it was for me to discover this beautiful Italian neighborhood in addition to that.I met Adele and Michela (apologies for misspellings in advance to both!) Who helped me find books from authors I loved and beyond, I asked them so many questions and they let me browse for so long, they didn't seem to mind my messy coat and bag (that I threw on the floor to get to books!) And they were beyond understanding and helpful when they found out I can't take back stuff with me and agreed to mail them to me.The selection is not huge but very decent, especially for lovers of Italian Literature, history and poetry. In addition to all of that there are so many types of cute stationary items, which in my opinion are rare in America (everyone seems to be happy with office max pens and paper, so apparently they don't need beautiful things to write with).Great kids selection, many souvenir type items! These guys even gave me suggestions about which Cafe to go to that's best for reading ?Cannot wait to go back sometime in the future!”

“Visiting from Vermont, ended up chatting with the most charming gentleman named Wyatt. It was a lovely memory of Boston, I wish I didn't get shy. After such a nice conversation about Hawaii... I should have given him my card to stay in touch. This book store was beyond magic, the amount of books, ephemera and knowledge. Can't wait to return.”

“I love it here. When I first moved nearby, I would stop by whenever I needed to buy a gift for a child. There's a wonderful collection of children's books, which is not surprising, given that the store owned and run by the writer illustrator dynamic duo, Paul and Peter Reynolds. It was a sad day when Mocha Java, across the street from The Bunny, closed its doors a few years back. But then came the happy day when it found a new home within The Blue Bunny! A few tables were added to the front and voila! A delightful combination coffee shop & children's book store was born. I just noticed that a few adult books are now available, too. Today, I brought a friend along that had never been to The Bunny. Needless to say, she was thrilled with the find - albeit slightly miffed that she was only just discovering it! Although the Reynolds brothers can often be spotted at the shop, I had always been too shy to introduce myself. But having a friend along today emboldened me to say hello and express my appreciation for their work and shop. We were treated to a lovely conversation with Paul, and Peter joined us towards the end. I was excited to learn about Peter's latest book, " When things aren't going right, go left." Seems like the perfect sentiment for these challenging times. What a wonderful way to start the day. Oh, and the coffee is delicious, too!!”

“Beautiful Catholic bookstore with a rather wide selection of cards, books, and gifts. The Pauline sisters staffing the shop were very helpful and kind. Be sure to check out their lovely little chapel for a moment of quiet prayer!”

“This bookstore focuses books published by MIT press and curated titles. It’s a “smart people bookstore,” with books that make you think and learn. The shop is down in a basement and I got lost in reading the backs of books, time marked only by the overhead rumble of the red line. The books here are niche enough that there are only occasionally copies at the local libraries, so I do end up spending money here rather than getting it at the library. There’s also a kids book section that has some excellent variety: I can do all my holiday shopping between this bookstore and the MIT Museum gift shop upstairs.”

“Bought items today at store. Cashier was extremely distracted during ring out process. Literally was not focused on ringing items. More focuses on her phone. I bought six items. The total seemed high. But I knew it was going to be expensive got home to try on new Harvard gear. Looked at receipt. I was charged for 7 items. The item was even in my bag. So I'm charged for an item I do not have. The item was over 100 dollars. I have to go to store in my work time and sort this out. Beyond upset. Then tried calling store and no one is answering the phone.Update called on the phone talked to Louise. Explained the situation.I showed them pictures of what purchases and bar codes. Acknowledged the wrong and promptly returned the 109.00”

“Not the place to go to find a specific book, but a lovely place to go to look for an interesting book. Many of their books are only for sale by collection; the ones for sale individually are fascinating, beautiful and affordable. When I was there, the front of the space was a photography exhibit which was also not to be missed. The employees are helpful, and it's a great place to relax and poke through books.”
