We rescued Isla, our 6-month-old Lab Shepherd mix, and since my husband and I were going away on our honeymoon, we felt it was the perfect opportunity for her to get some training, especially with walking on a leash. During our initial phone call, Kylie was so patient and thorough, taking the time to answer our questions and explain everything, which made us feel even more confident in our decision. We sent Isla to the two week bootcamp. After reading all of success stories on their website, we knew Atlantic K9 was the right choice, and we are so glad we went with them!
While we were away, we received pictures of Isla every day showing her having fun, which gave us so much peace of mind. Kylie also checked in with us midweek, and the entire team was thorough, communicative, and happy to answer any questions we had.
Brayden gave us our lesson when we picked Isla up, and we were so happy with the progress we saw! He was also incredibly responsive to any questions we had between pickup and our follow-up lesson. What we appreciated most was how encouraging and patient he was with us. He never made us feel silly for making mistakes and instead helped us learn, build our confidence, and feel prepared to continue working with Isla at home.
As first-time dog owners navigating life with a young rescue, having a team that supports not only your dog but also you as the owner makes all the difference. Atlantic K9 gave us the tools, knowledge, and confidence to help Isla thrive and give her the best life possible. Benson's Homemade Ice Cream
181 Washington Street, BoxfordStill one of the best ice cream places around, but in the past year something has changed about their formula or something. Where before it was light and firm and smooth, it is now thick and almost elastic. I get this might be appealing, as it doesnt seem to melt as easily and is perhaps better suited for cone eating, but it becomes a hassle and mess to try and scoop at home if you buy a gallon. If you come here for that lighter classic hard ice cream, that texture is gone at the moment, at least among the flavors my family has gotten (peach, raspberry, blackberry, pistachio). That being said, the flavors are still top notch, and the setting/staff remain wonderful
