“While Stop and Shop is probably marginally cheaper, it doesn’t have the Vineyard feel that Cronig’s Market boasts. As soon as I stepped in, I could tell this was a grocery store on the Island, as opposed to a Stop and Shop that could be anywhere, just a little scrunched up. The prices are high to be sure, but so is the quality. They also have some nice touches, like an excellent floral selection and MVY postcards. If and when I return to Martha’s Vineyard, this is where I’ll be getting my groceries.”

They are limited by the space available?, however manage to provide a good selection and very fresh produce, meats, poultry and bread. They are adequately staffed and go out of their way to help and accommodate your needs.
Recently the owner retired and sold store to their manager...service never faltered.”

They have a hard job, are constantly understaffed and doing their best in a dilapidated store and still find the time to be so generous in spirit to me every time I come in. Exchanges/refunds are processed with no fuss or complaint. They give my kids the royal treatment. I’m truly so grateful for their defiant hard work.”
