“2 separate buildings the main building is nice but the other one is horrible and wreaks of cigarette smoke. But rooms in the main building are nice with smart TV. Nice indoor and really nice outdoor pool. Good priced rooms”

“What a beautifully located, appointed, and executed bed and breakfast! We stayed in Deer Pond room and it was lovely. The bed (bedsheets included!) was so comfy. The private bath met our needs perfectly. It is Lisa and the thoughtfulness she brings to what’s available (like a water cooler, fresh cookies every night, a fridge for guest use, and more) that makes it a notch above. We stayed two nights while in town for a wedding and would have loved to spend more time. It’s easy walking distance to beach and restaurants. And the views from the front patio and front facing rooms are wonderful. Highly recommend!”

“June 2026 was our first stay at the Palmer House after previously staying at a now defunct B&B many times. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Palmer House. We tried 2 different rooms, the cottage in the back of the property and the Emily Dickinson room in the main building. Both rooms were comfortable, quiet and well maintained. The only thing I would point out to people considering the Emily Dickinson room is that the bed is very high, there are a set of steps provided but people with limited mobility might struggle a bit. The included breakfast was excellent and offered options which isn't always the case in a B&B. The hosts Tom and Billy were great and very helpful. The location is just about perfect, it's an easy 10 minute walk into town so you don't have to try to park, and you can enjoy a couple of margaritas at Anejo guilt free! Overall a great experience and we've already booked for next year.”

“We visited for the Fourth of July weekend and had the most amazing stay. The hospitality was truly incredible and it felt like home. From the daily breakfast to the complimentary snacks/ beverages and bike rentals, I will be recommending this place to all our friends and family! Thank you Simon and Annabelle for a lovely stay.”

“I can’t say enough how great this place is. We have two dogs, and many places don’t allow pets, but this one does. This place was very clean and the main lobby has so much more like drinks, snacks and souvenirs. It’s so much fun you can ride bikes for free and join amazing activities like yoga and family games. Also, the front desk guy, Pete, is absolutely amazing. He's very friendly and will recommend great places to eat and visit. I highly recommend this place and we’ll definitely be coming back.”

“Great find. Walked into what looked to be a tiny room only to have two bed rooms, living room, kitchenette and spacious bathroom. Arrived after hours and left early so didn’t get to spend much time but would love to stay for a couple of days. Awesome beverage center for the morning grinds. Lots of amenities that we didn’t even get to enjoy. Highly recommend!!!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Hidden Gem!

From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the incredible service and beautiful ambiance of this hotel! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and had such a cozy, luxurious feel. We loved the little details, like the sea salt caramel chocolate in the room and the complimentary welcome drink.

The location is ideal — right in Falmouth, but tucked away enough to provide a peaceful retreat. The hotel’s little Blue food truck was convenient and the coffee was 10/10.

We were also really impressed with the hotel amenities, the paddle boards, the bikes, & the rooftop deck with breathtaking views. The fire pits and smores finished our day. It’s the perfect place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing.

Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top-notch stay. We can’t wait to come back!”

“While the room was very clean with cute decor, there were a few flaws that I feel like I have to mention.

1. The AC in my room (#18) failed to adequately cool the room. I set it to 70 and the room never got below 75.

2. I could hear loud footsteps from the room upstairs, including at 12:30 am.

3. I received a call at 10 am the morning of check-out from the front desk staff asking me if I knew I had to check out at 11. That has never happened anywhere else I have stayed. I thought it was annoying and unnecessary…I get it if it’s 10:50 and I’m still not out, but 10?? Come on.

These don’t significantly detract from the stay I had, though. I enjoyed the ambience and vibe of my room and the location is extremely convenient to both the town of Falmouth and the beach. Overall more good than bad, but I have to take away a star for the issues I mentioned.”

“This is a fantastic place to stay. It is in a prime location, walkable from the ferry, and extremely convenient/nearby to all oak bluffs has to offer. It is also close to the (free!) bus to travel between towns, and a short walk to the beach. The hotel is nicely set up and easy to navigate. Staff is very friendly and kind as well. I felt the price for June on MV was very fair. We would highly recommend.”

“Stayed here for 2 nights while touring Cape Cod. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we got great advice about the area including recommendations where to eat. Easy walking distance to the beach, ferry to Marthas Vineyard and Falmouth Main St for quirky shops and restaurants. Added bonus was the very nice small pool area. Definitely recommend.”

“Charming seaside Inn with friendly service. Caroline and Julia at the front desk were incredibly helpful hosts. The free snacks in the solarium were a wonderful treat. My husband & I stayed there for a weekend wedding. We highly recommend this Inn for any Vineyard visit. Dean & Patricia”

“Staff were great, helpful, attentive and charming. The location is centrally located. You are close to the Ferry, restaurants, Gingerbread houses, and near all the fun things to do in Martha's Vineyard. Keep in mind in regard to luggage many of the hotels are old and do not have elevators although the staff will accommodate and help if necessary. Rooms are clean, decorated in the camp theme, but small.”

“The hotel was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. It was very close to the parking terminal for the Martha's Vineyard Ferry (about 5 min drive) and it's on Main Street and walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. The front office was very kind, and we loved the room. We'd definitely stay again!”

“We had our Son and Daughter-in-law wedding at the Popponesett Inn under the tent in the middle of a tropical storm last weekend.Even though the weather was not the best it did not overshadow the amazing job Jennifer the wedding coordinator and her team did. They were the absolute best. Didn't miss a beat. The venue, the staff and the amazing meal is still being talked about days later. Jennifer put my daughter in law and son at ease since there needed to be a few minor adjustments to the schedule do to the weather. Everything was flawless. If you are looking for a wonderful venue and especially the most amazing team look no further than The Popponesett Inn @ New Seabury.Cathy Mc”

“Just left this little hidden gem after a short trip up to Cape Cod, the owner was so welcoming and kind. This is a small family run business, and it's obvious he has put his heart and soul into this Motel. The rooms, our lovely and very clean and the decor is bright and cheery! The best part, is this place is located next to everything. You don't have to use your car at all. Downtown Falmouth, Main Street is only a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops your heart will desire! The owner's communication skills are awesome. Every time we had a little issue, he was right there to fix it! You can't go wrong, staying at this Motel!”

“Our lovely winter get away place. We've been on several multi night stays here at The Coonamessett. We have stayed in a king room, a king suite and this time, a queen suite. All were clean and comfortable. Desk staff are friendly and very helpful. We will be back!”

“Just past the rotary right near the beaches the worst part was the day lost to being asked to join the vacation club. This place was so peacefull I could have moved there. I asked for and got a shower chair. I only wish there had been better cookware in the kitchen and some spices. Glad I am a stickler and brought some of my own. So close to two good grocery stores. And two great beaches. I could just chuck it all and move in right now. Laundry room is down a flight of stairs. Patricia is the best guide”

“A totally magnificent stay. The hotel is immaculate. Housekeeping perfect and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Complimentary breakfast every morning. Great location and make certain to eat at attached “9” restaurant. Delicious. Our best meal of our trip which included Cape Cod. Make sure to have the swordfish and enjoy YOUR OWN bottle of wine on their rooftop deck.”

“first off I feel like some of the 1 star reviews for this place are people who have never been on the island before. Unless you’re renting a house most hotels are old and rickety here. With that said, for the price and location this place is pretty good! The room was the perfect size to share with my partner, it was clean, and really quiet. I’m sure if there were some rowdy guests it wouldn’t be as quiet since the walls are somewhat thin but noise really wasn’t an issue. Additionally, there’s a community kitchen and lounge area which were super clean, so if you’re staying multiple days and want to save some money cooking, it’s great to have that option.

Location is great and convenient to the bus that takes you around the island and if you’re walkers like us you could take the 2 mile walk to oak bluffs. Also directly in front of downtown tisbury with more “higher end” restaurants than oak bluffs has to offer. Stop and shop is also right across the street for grocery needs and Cumberland farms that stays open untill midnight for some late night snacking.

If you want a more 5 star experience edgartown will be more for you, and you’ll definitely pay that price. But if you’re here because you genuinely enjoy the island, and plan to spend most of your time outdoor, this is a great option.”

“Absolutely fantastic experience! From check-in to check-out, everything was seamless. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and they even gave us a room upgrade. The room was spacious, clean, and had a great view.
Breakfast had a good variety and everything was fresh. The hotel’s location made it easy to get around and explore local attractions.
Special shoutout to Vanessa for going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, perfect for both leisure and business travelers.
Thanks again for a great stay and we'll be back soon!”

“Rooms are nice. The furniture can use some updating. Hotle was recently sold, so updates should be in the near future. Near the parking lot to woods hole. A on site gym would be nice and complimentary coffee in the lobby if not breakfast like some hotels offer. Near area resturants. Also there is no elevator.”
