“Met Carmelo and Gus this morning when I took my 23 old truck for an inspection. I have had bad experience at other shops for simple inspections before. Not at Volsar, they were friendly, professional, and honest. I did all the work myself so I know my truck inside out and know nothing is wrong or need fixing. Volsar confirm nothing was needed besides the inspection sticker.
I will start bringing my cars here for mechanic work in the future. It’s hard to find honest and good mechanics.”

Rogers had my radiator fixed and ready to put back in less than 24 hours, allowing me to reassemble, fill and test my antique truck in plenty of time for it to be driven in the Boxford 4th of July Parade. “I needed an oil pan replacement, oil chance and inspection on my car so I dropped it off here in the morning. Work was done before the end of the day for a very reasonable price, and I think they actually fixed something else wrong with my engine because it was no longer making a strange idling sound when I picked it up. Great experience overall”

“I had an excellent experience with M E Auto Accessories! They installed power, illuminated running boards and an Auxbeam switch on my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X, and the results were amazing. The wiring is completely hidden and everything works and looks perfect. I appreciated the prompt communication, detailed estimate, and reasonable prices. They took the time to explain the installation and functions when I picked up my truck, which was a nice touch. Great attention to detail and even more amazing customer service. I can't wait to return for more work soon! Highly recommended!

“Service at Colonial Nissan is always very good. They provide reminders of upcoming appointments, explain clearly what work they recommend be done and with what timing, do the work pretty quickly, and it all comes with a friendly smile. I also enjoy the good coffee machine in the waiting area and, when I can't wait, they provide a Lyft/Uber service to take you home and pick you up when your car is ready - super convenient.”

“I had a nail in one of the tires on the work vehicle. I am unfortunately obligated by work to take the car to their place to be fixed however I needed air till I get there. A white man with dark blonde hair was so kind and professional about it. He added air to all tires and pointed out to where the nail was. This interaction took place sometime in the winter. I was poorly dressed and exhausted after a medical shift. I asked if I can pay for the air and he refused. I highly recommend the services here.”

“Stevo installed a new AC compressor that I'd purchased online in my old '09 Chevy Malibu. The old one was grinding (bearings maybe gone) and a bypass pulley wasn't available: I didn't care about AC working so I didn't want it recharged. They were willing to do what I wanted, which was so appreciated because several other shops were unwilling: they would only install their parts, which were hundreds of dollars more expensive than the one I chose, they wanted to recharge the AC system- basically they wanted to do things their way. The car is old and I don't want to spend money to make it perfect. Stevo got me going with what I wanted, he was a good communicator, and I will definitely take my business to him again in the future. Thank you!”
“I had an excellent experience at this Jiffy Lube. Francisco and his team were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was done right.
My check engine light was tricky to reset because my car is older, and instead of rushing me out the door, they calmly worked through it and figured it out without any drama. They literally would not let me leave until the issue was fully resolved, which I really appreciated.
On top of that, they were friendly, professional, and somehow managed to make the whole experience stress-free… and they even offered me pizza (which I absolutely accepted).
It’s rare to find a place where people actually take the time to help instead of just pushing you through. Highly recommend this location if you want solid service and good people who go the extra mile.”
“Kind-hearted, hard-working, patient, and extremely knowledgeable.These guys are top notch. They did some quality work on my box truck a few months back, and were very patient as I asked many questions to learn the ins and outs of how to maintain my own vehicle. I was very pleased with their work and it's been running great ever since.A few days ago, my motorcycle broke down nearby. Unfortunately, they don't work on motorcycles, but they pointed me in the right direction and were very accommodating. They let me park it behind their shop (even offering to park it inside for increased security) while I figured out how to transport it to a motorcycle shop. I showed up with a U-Haul, and they stopped what they were doing and helped me get the bike into the back using the lift gate on their truck. It was slick."It's the little things in life"”
“This place saved us right before our wedding, our car broke down the Sunday before our flight to Italy and Koko let us tow the car to his location and kept it for two weeks while we were gone as a huge exception because of our situation. We couldn’t be more grateful and the issue was fixed perfectly when we got back. He even drove it to make sure there were no issues from it sitting for that period of time. Highly recommend!”

“We’ve been taking our cars to Alewife Automotive for almost 10 years, and I’m consistently impressed with their service and kindness. We’ve had everything done from inspections to tires to repairs. They are transparent and fair, and they never tack on surprise charges. A perfect example of this was I had taken a new car to get inspected with plates to a shop closer to our home, and not only were they kind of rude to me, but they wanted to charge me $20 to put plates on. I called George at Alewife and he said to come on over, they’ll take care of it all no charge. And this is something I’m used to with them—no charges to change out a bulb, top off fluids, etc. As a woman I’ve found that the stereotype is usually true with many shops, trying to get me to buy something I don’t need or up-charge me for something I wasn’t prepared for. It’s worth the slightly longer drive to get here for their service, I don’t know why I ever try to go anywhere else!”
