“Awesome Mexican food with a family homemade taste. Very reasonably priced Mexican food. They also have breakfast sandwiches. This is a favorite with locals who line up for breakfast and lunch.”

“I love how the businesses in Nantucket play with their own name/nickname. ACK is the airport code for Nantucket and ACKcetera is a drug store/general store that have stuff you may have failed to pack in your rush to get to this beautiful island. People are friendly and helpful. Free parking on the lot in front. Conveniently located across the street from the Stop N Shop.”

“I could've sworn I'd written a prior review and added this business -- but maybe I've finally cracked.Places like this Salvadorean mini market make my heart go pitter patter. It's an island on an island, stocked with a taste of home for many. There's loroco in jars, loroco frozen, baked goods, fresh avocados, many kinds of fresh quesos, masa, dried beans, guanabana drinks, candy, health food products / medication, lottery tickets and cigarettes. The store can help you wire money to loved ones far away and really seems to serve as a community hub in so many ways. I go every year for my pupusa fix. You'll want to call ahead for them since they make them to order and they take about 20 minutes. Or you can get them from the freezer case to make at home (about $10 for a four pack). I picked up a daily special of carne asada on a recent visit, which came with white rice; a whole pickled jalapeno; two thick, Salvadoran style tortillas; black beans; grilled scallions; and iceberg lettuce / tomato / cucumber / lime. The carne was reasonably tender, but definitely not something one should try to attack with a plastic knife and fork. It's the kind of place that makes me feel embarrassed that I speak Spanish on a Sesame Street level since everyone is a native speaker -- but folks are awfully nice nonetheless. Service runs on island time, or even a bit slower, but no one seems to get upset. This place is such a treasure.”

“Love the employees here. They are always friendly and I notice that not only do they know what I generally buy but also anticipate the orders of other customers.”

“Picture this: the convenience and cleanliness of Cumby's...but on Nantucket. But in all seriousness though, it's nice for residents to have a normal convenience store with a normal selection and prices that aren't massively inflated. If you need a breakfast sandwich, decent cup of coffee or frozen pizza, hit up either Cumby's location. If you're looking to spend $18 on a bag of rosemary and white truffle artisanal potato chips then there are several pretentiously named general stores and delis that pop up every summer.”
