“I was in the market for a new mattress because I’ll be moving from Brighton over to Newton with my girlfriend. I originally was doing some research online and considering Mattress Firm, Bob’s, etc., but something just didn’t feel right with the high prices at those stores.
I’m so glad I stopped into this place on a whim. I was able to try out a few mattresses without feeling any pressure to buy that day, and ultimately, being a simple guy, I just needed a place to lay my body at night.
I wasn’t fishing for a bottom-of-the-barrel price or mattress. I genuinely wanted a quality product without all the markup and marketing hype you see with a lot of the big-name retailers.
When I decided to come back a little later in the day with my girlfriend, we ended up getting a really good mattress for a very fair price. Mike, the salesman, was extremely polite and professional throughout the entire process. That little bit of personal touch goes a long way in the sales business, and ultimately we’re very happy with our purchase.
I don’t often write a lot of reviews, but the experience was so painless that I figured it was the least I could do. I would highly recommend just giving them a chance.
Yeah, the store layout may seem a little all over the place, but when you’ve got beds flying off the floor because of great deals and good service, I don’t blame them for having things a little cluttered. They’re too busy making their customers happy.

“I recently bought a mattress in February but after a few months I decided to take advantage of the 120 day sleep trial. I was having a bit of back/side pain so I came back to upgrade. I met with Shawn who helped me with my first purchase. I tested out more mattresses at the store and decided to upgrade to the Dream Cloud PressureSmart Technology Plush Pillow top. The exchange paperwork was super easy and I scheduled my delivery for two days later. The drivers came and removed my old mattress and set up the new one. I’m very pleased and happy and had a great night’s sleep. Thank you Shawn for all your help!”
“A followup visit. Two Vterinarians and three staff members converged on the case. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Visit included a detailed physical exam, abdominal ultrasound exam, discussion of findings of the exam:, an IV drug administration, and a topical medication. Ultrasound was forwarded to our primary care vet. All this was conducted with professionalism, courtesy and compassion.”

“We have had a Bedworks floating platform for more than a decade. It’s sturdy and beautiful. We highly recommend it. But recently we added a Bedworks mid-firm foam mattress (35 high resilience) and it’s exactly what we wished for. We love it! It was a bit firm upfront so we added a 1’ inch medium firm latex topper (go for latex not other materials that do nothing and no more than 1’ if not it will be too soft) and the combination is ideal. Both affordable (even with the topper) and light enough (40+ pounds) to turn over. Much better than most higher priced, super heavy mattress out there. For anyone with chronic back pain, go check them out. Thanks Khat!”

“We are so glad we went to Gardner Mattress after doing some mattress shopping at other stores so we could really compare. What a difference! Erik has a laid back, low pressure approach to sales, and I think part of it is his confidence in the product. It sells itself. We appreciated not being up sold or pushed in any particular direction beyond some guidance on which ones might meet our needs. We were given time and space to ourselves to really find something we were happy with.
We settled on a nice organic king size bed. We knew it would be an upgrade, but didn't realize what a game changer it would be for us. It's so comfortable and firm, and we love that it can be rotated and flipped. We have only had it for a few days, but we can tell it's the right one for us. These have been the best few nights of sleep I've had in many years.
Delivery was great too! The guys were careful, very nice, and right on time too.
I will happily recommend Gardner Mattress to anyone who is in the market for a new mattress. This was a really positive experience for us.”
