“This place really is a variety store because it has a bit of everything and don't let the size of it fool you because a lot can fit in there. The prices are reasonable since the products are not sold in bulk like paper towels or tomatoes for example. Everything else is reasonable price wise and the owners of the store are really friendly and helpful. They are always stocked and if something is missing you can be sure they will order it! I recommend this store to anyone needing something in a hurry.”

They sell beer and wine as well, and I believe I heard them speaking Portuguese in case that is your preferred language. Also, they do accept EBT there.”

“This corner market/deli has been in New Bedford FOREVER! I don't know how many years, but I know a very very long time. Well, I have had food from there through other people's cookouts, etc. but had never gone in there and purchased anything myself. So I finally go there so I could buy a couple of sandwiches. The place was pretty much what I expected. It was simple and sort of reminded me that it was stuck in the 60's or 70's, which is fine with me. I don't judge, plus I love those times. Anyway, we got 2 sandwiches, one a honey turkey & honey ham with just cheese and mayo, and the other being a honey turkey with cheese, veggies & mayo. Both on Portuguese pops. For something so simple and not fancy they were DELICIOUS! And only $2.99 each! Loved it! I will be back very soon for more.”
“Chris & the girl Chona are two of the nicest customer-service friendly people you are likely to meet. As soon as I entered the store, he greeted me from behind the counter. He thoroughly explained to me why their gasoline is of superior quality, and how other companies "cut" their gas to increase profit. Just ask him! It was a learning experience. This business was established around the same time that we left and has been a lifeline to a lot of favorite regional foods. Coffee Syrup, Hoo Mee Chow Mein, Gaspar's Sausage, (Chourico & linguica,) Drakes Cake's, stuffed quahogs, Portuguese favorites, and Amaral's Sweetbread just to name a few.
