“I needed new tires for my personal vehicle and scheduled to have my Wife bring the car by. There was a mix up on my end about how long the tire replacement and rotation would take. My Wife was a little distraught because she had our 9 month old Son with her. Castle Tire quickly mobilized a couple of their employees to handle our job and had my Wife and Son back on the road in an hour. I've been going to Castle Tire for years now and have always been very satisfied with the quality of their work, the timely manner they complete this work in, as well as their pricing. “I blew a tire on 93N and exited. After an hour AAA never came. I checked Google Maps for a tire shop and Mr. Fran was 1 block away. I walked over there and told Mr. Fran my situation. He was very helpful and nice. I dragged my 2002 Grand Cherokee on its rim to the shop. He assured me he had the tire and after some digging in the crates...he finally found one nearly brand new.

“We’ve been taking our cars to Alewife Automotive for almost 10 years, and I’m consistently impressed with their service and kindness. We’ve had everything done from inspections to tires to repairs. They are transparent and fair, and they never tack on surprise charges. A perfect example of this was I had taken a new car to get inspected with plates to a shop closer to our home, and not only were they kind of rude to me, but they wanted to charge me $20 to put plates on. I called George at Alewife and he said to come on over, they’ll take care of it all no charge. And this is something I’m used to with them—no charges to change out a bulb, top off fluids, etc. As a woman I’ve found that the stereotype is usually true with many shops, trying to get me to buy something I don’t need or up-charge me for something I wasn’t prepared for. It’s worth the slightly longer drive to get here for their service, I don’t know why I ever try to go anywhere else!”

“I had a great experience at Parker’s, Bobby went over my concerns really quick and made process for communicating very easy. Mark did detailing and I'm happy with the service. Their prices are reasonable especially with maintenance, would recommend!
Update: Second time I’ve gone for maintenance, they do a great job and are quick with their work. Paul reached out to me with updates often and they take pictures of all issues for you to see.

“John took my car in immediately and ran through some possibilities with me on the phone initially of causes for my steering vibration after I got new wheels.
After arriving in his shop John quickly took a look and diagnosed the problem. Nothing was sold to me and John found the issue was water in my tires. He didnt attempt to upsell me on any products for my car and simply told me to come back if the vibration returns.

“I want to give high praise to Jamal Bridges, Tech specialist for Lexus. I called him from the road on the way to Washington DC for the holiday week as the navigation system was not functioning on my brand new car. He patiently and expertly instructed me how to reset system to get Google map functioning . I needed to call again for Tech Support as I couldn’t lock the car as I had packages on back seat that sent alerts. Once packages removed the doors still not locking. Jamal calmly reviewed numerous steps to try to get car locked.Manual locking worked. I met Jamal today at Lexus of Watertown to reboot the Connect Drive as malfunctioning, tested all keys to lock and remote start. He didn’t leave until all my questions and concerns were addressed.
Jamal Bridges is an outstanding technician, a very kind caring employee who should be recognized. I’m very grateful that he answered my call.”

“I just want to say I was very pleased with John B. Our personality hit it off right from the start he was very attentive and listen to what I said and before I left he showed me range rover velar and I wasn't looking to get a car I was there having my discovery sport service and I had some problems so at that time I was just browsing, and any questioned I asked he had the answer very knowledgeable I told him what I wanted he he had one but before I left he had already sent me a text with a low percentage rate. What I like is if I called or texted him I didn't have to wait to get an answer right away I would get a response. He deliver my car showed me everything and how to work different things in it he even down loaded my phone he's young but a very good asset to the company we need more sales people like him. I will be seeing him again with other customers it will be a little but I'll be back.

“I had already done a great deal of research on the type of car and the price when I discovered a great match at Waltham Auto Gallery. I met Chris when I arrived to look at the car. Despite knowing I was very interested in the Kia Sorento on their lot, he was very friend and laid-back throughout the process, never applying any of the cliche high-pressure tactics one expects to encounter when buying a car.
We were able to reach an agreement quickly but I still needed to make up my mind on several minor part of our deal. Chris was very patient and cooperative as I made my decisions regarding those details and we drew up the final paperwork. From there they were able to take care of all the RMV paperwork and have me in my car within several days.

“My husband works in Newton Center and ran over a nail not far from his office. He didn’t think he could safely drive back to Brookline on the tire, and we didn’t want to bother with a tow, so we left it with the attendant after hours and figured we’d hear from them the next day. We weren’t sure if the tire could be patched or if we’d be looking at a replacement.
The next morning, my husband stopped by in person to check in. Turns out, the car was already done and they were just about to call us. They’d plugged and patched the tire for $45.
Normally I’d want a call before any work gets done, but this was a small fix at a fair price, and I’m glad they just handled it. It’s also possible the attendant gave them the go-ahead, hard to say. Either way, they were quick, did solid work, and didn’t overcharge us.
People sometimes complain about the gas prices here, but the mechanic side of the shop seems legit and professional.”
