“When you have an older car and do not know much about cars, going to a car service center can feel a lot like going to the dentist. You know something may be wrong, you know it may affect your safety, but you do not always know what is urgent, what can wait, how much it should cost, or whether you should approve a recommended service.
Because of that, I usually feel very stressed and anxious when I have to take my car in. Express Tire & Auto Service was different. I brought my car in because I was concerned about my brakes and some overall issues while driving. They performed a very thorough inspection and sent me photos and videos of what they found, along with clear explanations and an online estimate where I could review each item and decide what to approve.
That system was incredibly helpful. At many places, I receive information verbally and can only understand part of what is being explained, so I end up feeling pressured to approve things because I am worried about safety. Here, I had enough time and information to make an informed decision. I really appreciated the transparency, professionalism, and kindness of the team.
They were friendly, patient, and reliable from start to finish. I feel very lucky to have found this place, and I feel much more comfortable and confident driving my car now. I would highly recommend Express Tire & Auto Service, especially to anyone with an older car or anyone who wants clear and detailed explanations before making repair decisions. “Amazing service! I came in with no appointment because my car had a very loud noise coming from the front wheel area, and I was really worried it might be something serious. They took the car right away, diagnosed the problem fast, and fixed it the same day. The noise is completely gone now and the car drives perfectly. The price was very fair, the work was professional, and the whole experience was stress-free. This is honestly one of the best and most honest auto repair shops in the Boston area. Highly recommended!”

“I’m always satisfied leaving Valvoline and my last visit was great! I went in for an oil change and asked if my transmission fluid could be checked. Isiah got me in and set up in no time, was knowledgeable about the services offered, and handed me off to Kevin for the remainder of the appointment. Kevin was also extremely knowledgeable about the benefits and needs for each service and was great to chat with - he even helped remove an old & expired resident parking permit that had been scratched up from my removal attempt. “I had a plastic splash shield hanging down underneath my car and was honestly pretty stressed about it. I stopped by without an appointment, and George took a look right away.
He quickly figured out it was just the splash shield that had come loose, secured it with new clips, and reassured me that everything was good to go. I really appreciated the honesty—no pressure, no unnecessary upselling, just straightforward help.
A big thank you to George for the repair and to Ken for being welcoming and professional. Everyone was kind, efficient, and made what I thought was going to be a stressful (and expensive!) problem feel incredibly easy.

“I took my car to this shop because my ABS and traction control lights were on - they took a look at it and noticed that my front left strut had broken as well. They physically showed me everything that needed repairs, we set up an appointment, and they fixed everything in one day. They even replaced a bulb that was out and didn't charge for labor. “Front wheel was making a horrible racket, sounding like metal on metal and getting worse over a few days. Who knows what it was. Paul fit me in the next day. But when I dropped it off, naturally the noise was gone. His mechanic took it on the highway and drove it around - they took the wheel off and looked at the brakes and bearing. Concluded that whatever it was, it had resolved - perhaps a rock or something. Didn’t charge me anything but suggested if it comes back to drop it off immediately and they would check it out.”
