Kathy the Groomer
139A Damon Rd, NorthamptonMoriah is fabulous!!! She treats both my Siberian huskies with love and respect. Neither one needs to be medicated and she has worked at this so they can come in to the salon with not as high anxiety as they used to have. The dogs look gorgeous and she knows how to take care of their coats especially because one of them came in with impacted hair. I would not change this place for any other. We’ve tried so many local places and this has been the best one. Thank you Moriah 🫶

The Cat Hospital
139 Damon Rd c, NorthamptonMy kitties and I love the team at the Cat Hospital! It is a calm healing environment with good energy— especially for nervous kitties! You can tell that Dr. Ricksgers and the staff live and breathe all things feline. Their passion for cats is palpable. They treat my boys with the best of care and we’ve been coming here for two years. They are also involved with a local rescue and they’ve saved countless lives. I also like that the office is incredibly clean and COVID-cautious, because I get sick very easily.

Florence Animal Clinic
185 Locust St, NorthamptonI can’t say enough good things about Florence Animal Clinic. Both Dr. Lorenzo and Dr. Kefer are truly wonderful. I’ve trusted them with the care of multiple cats. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and thoughtful in how they approach treatment. They take the time to explain options, answer questions, and make sure you feel supported every step of the way.
I also really appreciate their judgment and honesty. When something requires more specialized attention, they’re thoughtful about referring out rather than trying to do everything in-house, which speaks volumes about their professionalism and commitment to what’s best for the animal.
The staff is equally fantastic: kind, responsive, and clearly dedicated to both pets and their people. It’s rare to find a clinic where medical excellence and genuine warmth come together so consistently. Highly recommend.

Oliver Smith Restaurant
80 Locust St, NorthamptonIf you have never dined here before, you are in for a surprising treat. The Culinary Arts Department at the Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School operates a student-run restaurant three days a week, Wednesday through Friday of most weeks, from 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM. The students, under the supervision of three chef instructors, learn every aspect of food preparation and service. There is menu service on Wednesdays and Thursdays and an all you can eat buffet on most Fridays, which is currently priced at only $15.00. The menu changes weekly and is posted online. This is genuinely one of the hidden gems of the Pioneer Valley.

Familiars Coffee & Tea
6 Strong Ave, NorthamptonFamiliars is a true gem in Northampton that is housed in a 1930's era Worcester Lunch Car/Diner. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating and the place, indoor and out is spotless. I had the dry rubbed bbq tofu lunch sandwich that was out of this world delicious along with a hibiscus lime iced tea. I've been here before and it somehow keeps getting better with each visit.

Nourish Wellness Cafe
10 Bridge St, NorthamptonThe juice was fresh and delicious and the cashier was lovely.
They forgot to give me my latte in a takeaway cup and it took 30 minutes for both my latte and the juice at 9:20 am on Friday.
I will probably return for a juice, but will leave a more modest tip and will not buy coffee.
My bill was about $25 for both items which included a 20% tip

My only complaint is that I was not able to tip the staff with my credit card. I don't often carry cash, so I this was disappointing.
