“I had a great experience at the Big Y in Norwell today while shopping an Instacart order. I was able to find everything I needed except for several wine items. Since I don’t drink and don’t know much about wine, I was really struggling to figure out what to get.

I saw Emily training another employee, and although she looked like she might have been a manager, she was simply being a great leader. When I asked for help, she immediately stopped what she was doing, let the person she was training continue with their task, and came over to assist me. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. She helped me find the wines I needed and made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier.

Another employee and even a customer also tried to help, which says a lot about the welcoming atmosphere in the store. But Emily especially stood out for going above and beyond. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help a customer—even while she was busy training someone—are exactly what great customer service looks like. Big Y is lucky to have her, and she absolutely deserves recognition and consideration for a promotion.”

“Was a crew cheif for Stoppy for 12 years...The Bidemeister's war on gasoline has really screwed up the supply chain....and that started a domino effect...less employee input. Order by computer...contracts with CNS have hurt overall inventory....but executive decisions have given us all the screwjob”

“Trader Joe's is my absolute go-to! Whether I'm picking up a fresh flower bouquet, restocking groceries, or hunting for new snack discoveries, I am never disappointed. I love walking through the aisles to find unique frozen foods and seasonal snacks. Plus, I've noticed their fruit stays fresh much longer than at most other stores. Always a great shopping experience!”

“We've been shopping there since they opened many years ago. The staff is outstanding -- friendly, extremely helpful, very accomodating to any request. Prices for the basics are competitive with the lower price grocery stores like MarketBasket. We shop there weekly, as they offer good value.

We've noticed changes to their products during the past year that are annoying. Some items are now sold in smaller portions even if the price hasn't changed. Much of the produce does not last as long in the fridge as it did in the past, such as berries and bagged greens. Lastly, some items don't taste the same as they did, such as some of their baked goods. Maybe these changes are necessitated by inflation, as we've seen this in other stores as well. Regardless, they're an unwelcome change.”

“Holistic minded specialty foods, herbs, teas, supplements, cleaning products, bath and toiletry products, inc higher end Frozen foods, preservative free breads, tortillas to organic to pasture raised meats, eggs, and raw cheese. Dairy to dairy free, GF to vegan with a fresh produce section and bulk nuts, seeds, dried fruit berries and grains sections. Small store but a great place to find everything you need under one roof. Pricey as higher quality goods are, plenty of parking, handicap parking, great workers and highly knowledgeable, longer term staff. Sorry my local Quincy store closed, but fortunate their Hanover location reorganized and added new shelving, due to the need to accommodate the other stores client base. I'm so glad they made it work!”

“The best place to get subs in the whole world get a Italian sub with no hot. It’s so good you will want to eat it all and then get so full you’re going to throw up it’s the best feeling. But in all seriousness it’s so good because they have unlimited species of ice tea. And gushers.”

“Just had a sandwich for lunch and it was insanely good. It was also very reasonably priced. The groceries and Brazilian offerings are also worth a look and they have some very cool stuff. I'll definitely be going back and obviously recommend this spot. If you're ever hearded toward any fast food joint I would encourage you to go here just to price-compare. From a quality standpoint this place wins hands down. As far as value for money - also a winner.
And delicious.

“Its always super busy any time I drive by so I have avoided going here for a while. Needed some steak tips so I stopped by. Very glad I did! Got some great items - steak tips, a ribeye steak, and other meats. People at the meat counter were very helpful and friendly. Got a few sandwiches also and wow! Great size and quality at a very reasonable price. Overall, very pleased and will make the effort to stop by more often.”

“I go at 6am and they have some great savings from their meats and fruits. I like going there early and only a couple people there.
The store always is well stocked and I get my cat food sheba and fancy feast there which is cheaper than Amazon and in stock where fancy feast is hard to get the certain type I always get because thercis a shortage of it in America right now. So I will stick with shows. I saved $47 on yesterday's receipt. It would of been $107 and paid $60 and got blueberries, strawberries,blackberries. 1.5lbs deli London broil on sale $9.74 from $15.99. Knockwursts 6 to a package $4.99 sale price usually $8.99 i got a lot of food for me one person my breakfast, lunch and dinners, most part healthy foods. Cottage cheese, oatmeal, this will last me one week. So I clip the coupons and load up on certain foods when on sale. Some foods are expensive still but for me at shows I find that if I go at 6am and I get rib eye steaks that are 50% off because sell by today's date and I will buy as many as I can put them in the freezer or cook one for that night or next day. It seems Shaws always has good meats on sale especially morning at the 50% off before other people buy them. Certain cereals i will eat Original cheerios, Kashi and post grape nuts, seems every other month Shaws has sales literally $1 49 for general mills or Post grapefruits 2 for $5 and buy 8 boxes. Shows works great for me....”

“My go-to spot for everything delicious! The bakery is phenomenal, always fresh, always tempting. Their meats and produce are top-notch, and I’m obsessed with their pre-made meals. After a long day, it’s a lifesaver to pop one in the oven and enjoy a homemade-style dinner without the hassle. We’d honestly rather grab a meal from the market than order takeout. It’s that good.”

“Star Market is one of the cleanest, well stocked and organized grocery store in the Marshfield Pembroke area. My one concern is Baggers and Clerks putting raw meat with grocery items, this will kill somebody, I really don't blame the clerks I blame the management for not training them right. Thank you”

“My partner and I love Market Basket and if there's one in our travels we go there before any other supermarket. But...today my partner went there in the pouring rain and was dark when she was leaving. She actually had 2 carts because of water being on sale.
A front end assistant offered to help with the carts. But when he saw how hard it was raining and she was a little confused where she had parked he had an attitude, made her feel bad so she said for him to go back inside and she will handle the situation. He left.”

“Great selection of craft beers from local and out-of-state breweries. The selections are usually different weekly. There are also few hard to find IPA & double IPA from well known out-of-state breweries. The store sells wines and beers year round but between April 1st to January 15 they sell hard liquor as well. Nice spot for lottery tickets and Keno. Nice selection of snacks, candies, and drinks. Very popular with the locals!”

“Under New Management Store Looks Great and they have more inventory and lottery Ticket. I hear that someone 100k On MassCash last week. So i hope so it’s lucky store for lottery in Hingham. I would like to play my lottery there now. And new Manager Is friendly and nice he take care like family. Thanks to reopen Rochdale Food Shop in Neighbourhood.”

“I am quite surprised with the amount of dissatisfaction with the Pembroke Stop&Shop. I don't think this specific location deserves five stars, per say; however, they don't deserve an average of 1.5! While Stop&Shop dominates Pembroke in terms of groceries, this is the larger of the two locations in town located in a large shopping center right off Route 3, on Route 139 with several other stores like Dollar Tree, Staples, and Kohl's. It's a large store, and surprisingly the first Super Stop&Shop ever opened by the Stop&Shop company (in 1982). It's not a perfect Stop&Shop (very few are), but in general, it's well stocked, spacious and very large. It spans twenty five aisles, with a full deli, prepared foods, seafood, bakery and pharmacy department. Staff were pretty friendly throughout, and management seems mostly on top of logistical things. Mike, one of the assistant managers I found extremely helpful and friendly in recent days. I will say that one thing that the Pembroke location needs to work on considerably is their pricing. Several items in this store did not ring up at checkout the amount that was listed on their sale sign. The assistant manager, aforementioned, was very helpful and efficient in fixing all the issues, but they shouldn't have happened in the first place. This seems to be a trend with the Stop&Shop's in this area. Most price scanners worked, but when I went here, several signs that have to be placed on these scanners per Massachusetts State Law were missing. In general, it's a nice, newly remodeled, clean store, but my suggestions are to watch at checkout to make sure all items ring in at the correct price. 4 stars for the Pembroke Super Stop&Shop.”
