“You can find almost everything there. Just don't buy their fruit!!! Bought a precut watermelon and when I brought it home to eat it, it was like biting into the sole of a shoe!! No lie. The rest of the fruit I bought was like eating a sponge. Other than that, the rest of the things I bought were ok. I will never buy any type of fruit from them.”

stores are stocked, check-outs are quick, every counter has at least one person helping customers at all times, all because of a well-trained and supported staff.
on top of all this, prices are some of the lowest i see around here.
market basket is almost always busy, though early mornings and late nights are less packed. if you're used to understaffed ghost-stores, market basket is not that!”
“They have a large variety of items. The bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin was really good however the top English muffin was very small for some reason. The owners are very friendly and nice.”
“Lots of choices of authentic polish specialties. Many fresh made items including breads and pastries. English seems to be a second language for many staff, but we worked it out. Store was very crowded with customers, but everyone was polite, patient and waited their turn at the counter.”

My favorite part of Gala Foods has always been the deli — truly one of the best in all of Worcester (and I say that as a former deli worker!). Their sandwiches are made with love and precision, bursting with flavor and generosity.
I especially want to recognize Alfred, one of the deli staff members, who consistently went above and beyond. His kindness, humor, and genuine attentiveness turned an ordinary lunch stop into something special. He treated us not just like customers, but like guests, and you could tell he takes pride in making food that touches people’s hearts.
What stands out most about Gala Foods is the culture of care that shines through every person there. The whole team radiates friendliness and sincerity — it’s clear that leadership has created an environment where people love what they do and love who they work with. That kind of joy can’t be faked; it’s felt in every smile and every fresh, delicious bite.
The selection of Latin American foods is also outstanding — diverse, authentic, and beautifully presented. You can feel the pride and cultural richness that Gala Foods brings to the community.
Every time I left Gala Foods, I felt nourished not only in body but in spirit. I’m so grateful this place exists — it’s a true gem in Worcester and a reflection of everything good about food, people, and community.

“This store is absolutely one of the cleanest grocery store! I mainly drop in for the freshly made soups and chili/especially the chili. The selections for ready made dinners are fantastic with a large variety to chose. I never do a complete shop there because it's out of my price range. But the chili and soups are Mmmm! and I never had a bad ready made meal. So Thank you cleaning staff and the entire work force...you folks are on the ball?”

“This store was better than I expected. I have visited the Goldstar Blvd location and was less than impressed there. The staff were helpful and pleasant with finding things I was looking for and found someone who could understand me better when it was needed. They didn't have everything I was looking for though. Their prices were pretty good. You will need your own bags or pay for theirs. The self check out noticed the weight of my empty bags when I put them down while paying. The store was nicer looking inside than I was expecting and well stocked with what they did have.”
“They had more vegan options than I thought they would, and several that I hadn't seen elsewhere. We recently moved to the area so despite it being more expensive than Market Basket, this will be our new regular grocery store. (The nearby Price Chopper may do in a pinch, but just isnt as nice inside.)”
“There's a lot of good reviews but most of these reviews are not from legit common sense people. I've been buying things from here for 2 years now and what I noticed quite frequently is the produce not being up to par. Some oranges were moldy. That's dangerous and could really kill someone. Also the hot food section is very hit or miss. Always be careful. Let's note some of the food that's displayed on the premade food cold fridge , are dated 4 days from when they were made. So freshness isn't always a plus here at this family owned business. Now im pointing out vital things that they need to appropriately take action on. People could get sick from the lack of ambition these workers put into the store. Sure they can vacuum and sweep. But that should be the last thing to do for the day and not ignore moldy produce and expired food with wrong dates. Ok. Here's another legit thing. Everything that's not store related is hella expensive. And I mean 3 TIMES MORE expensive. For example. A box of cheez it's here is over 5 dollars. At Walmart it's less than 2.79 for a large box.
Here's another example. White castle burgers 8.19 for 6. Walmart it's 5.79
Another example Kimmy Dean breakfast bowls 5 dollars after tax ??? Walmart it's 2.59
Ok... Chips in general over 6 to 7 dollars and raos sauce ECT very expensive almost 13 dollars.
This is not a good look considering other markers are selling the same product for 3 times less. I would not recommend shopping a full cart here unless your a rich trust fund baby or a rich Democrat who feeds off of inflation while watching the hard working blue collars dish out tons of money just to fit in with the rich town society. Yeah yeah yeah. Sorry I'm not the type of guy who accepts hand outs and lives lavish. I actually point out the things that are wrong with businesses that others completely purposely ignore. Like I said these 5 star reviews are from people who are blind Litterly. They are too scared to speak on the truth about things In life.
Lets note one more thing. The meat is good. Probably better than most butchers. Why? Well you can see there is very kind older guys who have experience with butchering.
Another thing Some of the younger people are awkward and they make you feel awkward you can sense the depression off of them. I always sense energy and some of the people there have very negative energy....
Smile more maybe you'll go farther in life and bring your energy up, maybe some people are sad because they fail at having motivation to do a simple job.”

“I am always impressed with the flavor and crunch of this chicken. It doesn't matter if you eat this chicken fresh from the store while it is hot, cold out of your fridge as a midnight snack or even warmed up the next day for lunch. This is the best chicken EVER! Call ahead to order for the while family or just pop in there store to grab a fast and ready lunch. You will be happy you did.”

“Totally disagree with a previous commenter. Yes Market 32 tends to be more expensive but Market Basket does NOT always have what you need which is why I go there less and less. But I will say this about Market 32 you need to get a BELL in the Seafood Department because people are in the back and they don't know you're there and you could be waiting there for them for who knows how long. I feel stupid yelling for them and really shouldn't have to.”

“I went to the grocery store for my first time and had an excellent experience. I went in the middle of the day in the parking lot had plenty of space. I entered the trailer and was still able to find a few spots where I could park upon entering everything was festive and Set up for the holidays. Everyone was extremely friendly and all the shelves were stocked properly. Not a single complaint.”

“Best scan n go in app experience of any of the grocery chains, by far! Scan it's using the app as you shop, put them in the bag, automatically returns to the scanner so you don't have to click the scanner every time you want to scan another item. Scan the QR code at the exit and you're on your way. No need to wait for a self checkout to finish and pay. It's AWESOME!”

“I have been to stores that sell Vietnamese products, but there is a general situation that fresh seafood is very unhygienic because it is not stored in a glass cabinet, the store has a very smelly smell. When I go to buy food, I feel that the store is not hygienic. It is recommended that the manager should put fresh seafood for sale in a glass cabinet to ensure hygiene, especially seafood products. The 3rd time I came here on a Sunday and found the store smells too bad, the rice place is very dirty and unhygienic.”

“The manager who was working today May 21st was by far the most helpful and nicest person. I didn't get his name but I came in with an elderly relative of mine and he had an OTC card and it was a mess but even though it was a pain to figure it out he stopped everything and went above and beyond to help us and he could've just left us to figure it out but he helped way more than most people do. He was also such a friendly nice man and even though it was probably extremely frustrating on his end he did everything he possibly could to help us . You don't really get that type of assistance at any stores these days and I'm extremely appreciative and thankful for his help and kindness!”

“They have great food and drinks and whatever else you need for the family or a party! No alcoholic drinks here! It's usually very crowded most of the time! But if you go in later on in the evening it's not as bad! Otherwise parking is a hit or a miss ! Prices are very reasonable compared to the other grocery stores in the area!”
