While the delivery did not quite go as planned, the snags were quickly ironed out and the end result fabulous. “This is what used to be called a "mom and pop" hardware store. It's small, by Home Depot standards, but it has an amazing inventory and enough people actually interested in helping you. If you live in the community and have a need for some piece of hardware, a tool, or fixture of some kind...come here first. If they don't have it, fine, hitch up your dog sled and go to Home Depot. But start here first. The town is worth it and so are the people who run this little jewel of a company ou!”

“They got my beloved 1980s Black & decker circular saw up and running great. Wade was very kind and courteous and he was able to get it repaired the next day. I also purchased a grinder off them to replace my cheap harbor freight one. The price was right and quality seems very good. The manager was very helpful and knowledgeable as well but I did not get his name.”

I was very surprised also at Max’s enthusiasm to be so helpful with unloading the flooring and bringing it into the store for me, as most stores, I frequent, found not too many employees to be very helpful. “There are two absolutely lovely individuals who work here at the tool rental. I had rented a carpet cleaner and the first person I met at pickup had made sure I had the cleanest one and the associated attachments. They also gave me a very informative walkthrough of the machine and its parts. Pricing and fine print was transparent without being boring haha. I would 100% rent here again purely for the excellent customer service. Drop off was smooth and both staff members were very kind and personable. :)”

“Great store with everything you need. They just expanded to add even more items. Store is organized, clean, and staff is always helpful.Zak and the fellow who wears a winter hat was very helpful yesterday when I needed help with a project. Too bad the owner of the parking lot can’t fix the parking lot hot top, paint new lines and keep up the parking lot island landscaping. The parking lot lights don’t work and need painting. The sign entering the shopping area is over grown with weeds and needs painting. I am grateful to the store owners who are still here serving the needs of the community, I just wish the owner of the property was a dedicated to the towns people as the shop owners are.”

“I would like to share my experience with a service that offers fast and excellent service. While I did encounter some employees who were a bit unfriendly, the overall process was incredibly quick. The service might be slightly more expensive, but the benefit of a rapid signing-up process and receiving the truck keys is worth it. You can truly be in and out in no time—just make sure you have your proof of insurance ready. Overall, my husband and I found it to be a very efficient experience.”
“I wanted to buy the 4 outdoor dining chairs that were high up on the wall display. Went to the service desk asked for help and no one came. I did ask the garden employee Jim who was outside and without hesitation he came right over and got the chairs for me. He also opened a box for additional chairs that I wanted. He saved Home Depot from a disappointed customer to one who will return again ! I almost walked out empty handed but instead bought 6 chairs ! Yay Jim ??⭐️

“Good Afternoon, I have been coming to the lumber department for years now, and began going with my grandfather back in the early 2000s to help him find cuts of wood for his job. It was a tradition we had to go there after we would eat breakfast together on my day off from school. I have always been treated with exceptional service throughout my life whenever I needed to grab some plywood cuts for a bed, or something for my family. Those boys in the lumber department do their job to the highest level of satisfaction. One day, when I was shopping recently, I was disappointed in the management's treatment of them. One of the managers was constantly barking orders at them, and being incredibly unethical in his speech. I couldn't believe it, especially because those boys do an incredible job and are always attentive and caring, part of the Home Depot's core values. It seems as if one of those managers tends to sit on his behind and eat fast food all day while the workers break their backs. I'm just calling it like I see it. Pay those boys more! They deserve it.”

“I usually don't write reviews, but I have been so pleased and impressed with EVERYONE I've dealt with at Peabody Supply that I truly wanted to write a review. I am in the middle of a major bathroom remodel, acting as my own general contractor (never again!) and I have had to rely heavily on guidance from my plumber and staff at plumbing supply companies in my search for product. Peabody Supply is hands-down, the best company I have dealt with. I give them 5 stars for customer service, knowledge, quality, and price. Heather Reed in the Peabody location is a true pro and has been a delight to work with. The same can be said about Nick Lowery in the Kinston office. In fact, other staff that I talked to briefly by phone or in person have been great. From this day forward, they are my one and only plumbing supply source.”
