“The only reason this company didn't get a 5 star rating is because they have no front door. Seriously, they are in an industrial park and you have to enter through another business to get to them or go around the side and through a loading dock (danger)! However, they were very quick (1 day turn around), cheap ($2/knife to hone) and very good (like a samurai sword). I was a little leery to leave my very expensive Shun knives with them because they have mountains of restaurant knives that they work on. They must provide sharpening services for area restaurants or they may get the raw blades from the manufacturer and put an edge on them there. The guy I talked to, Brian, could see I was worried and showed me the difference between the a "sharpening" and a "honing". I opted for honing, but if you have knives that have been abused, you may want to go to the next level. Overall, although a little tricky to find, well worth the effort.3/26/13 Update: I brought my knives in a second time and graciously, they have added an entrance on the side of the building (although it still dumps you into the workshop, not an office). This time, they sharpened my knives while I waited. The entire transaction took only 10 minutes! Their prices went up $1/knife since my last sharpening, but at $3/knife, still the best deal in town!”

“We recently had Ital Marble design and install a marble fireplace surround in our home, and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. Kelly, the designer, was fantastic from the start. She really took the time to understand our vision and expertly matched the marble to the style of our house, helping to bring the design to life. Her knowledge of the inventory was impressive, and she provided thoughtful recommendations throughout the process.
The turnaround time was quick, and the installation team was professional. While the initial fit wasn't quite what we had envisioned, Ed, the owner, was quick to address our concerns. He personally came out to review the project, made valuable revision suggestions, and oversaw the adjustments to ensure everything was perfect. The final result exceeded our expectations – our fireplace surround is absolutely stunning.

“Myself and my sister are remodeling our bathroom. We decided early on that we really wanted gold hardware/fixtures. We initially had a lot of trouble finding what we were looking for. It was so difficult and frustrating that we were going to change the color schemes we originally chose. My sister came across the Kohler’s Artifacts collection which came in a beautiful gold called Vibrant French Gold. We made an appointment and met with Nicole who was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable regarding product information and design/layout. She thought of everything! We were so pleased we ended up buying everything from Kohler (cabinet with mirror, sink, toilet, lighting, etc). Nicole made it so easy and we’re so happy with everything we bought. If you’re overwhelmed and want good quality and service one-stop shopping come here. We’re so excited to get underway with the project.

“Fitzgerald Tile deserves every bit of praise. We came in with a tricky situation — a ½-inch size variance between two tiles we had purchased elsewhere for a checkerboard pattern — and Tom and Vivianne could not have been more knowledgeable or more determined to help. They walked us through every option, found a replacement tile that would work in the same week, and truly went above and beyond to make sure our project stayed on track.
They even rush-ordered grout for us, and it ended up looking better than what we had originally picked. Their customer service is unmatched, and we left wishing we had found their store sooner.

“We recently worked with Donna from Packard's Kitchens on a kitchen remodel and she was extremely helpful and just all around great to work with. We had a vague idea of what we wanted when we went into the project, but there are so many things to consider in terms of layout, material, colors, cabinet hardware, and more that it just felt overwhelming. Donna really helped us think through all the details in a way that felt collaborative and easy.
We'd been working with another kitchen designer initially who didn't really seem all that engaged, just showed us a few options and told us to pick one. They were very professional and helpful from the initial material sections to the final installation. Their measuring specialist used a computer generated laser measuring device for an accurate measurement. Finally, their installing group did a fantastic job on the installations. “Bought an hour glass table with a glass top didn't realize when I was putting in my car that it wasn't attached to the top the top fell off and shattered in the million pieces in the parking lot. The staff there is amazing They offered to give me my money back and also swept up everything in the parking lot. I'm broken hearted that I didn't get to take the table home but I couldn't be more grateful how I was treated.”

My friend and I got some (very) soft blankets. Due to MLK day we got 10% off. I don’t know how I want my bed to be made yet with this new blanket addition. I’m conflicted.
The price was recognizably lower than some other brands which I appreciated. I almost bought a white blanket from Lola Blankets for about 6x the price but I came to my senses. Thankful for AllModern.
