“The Post Office at 1179 Main St in Wakefield is honestly a little hidden gem. It’s only ever really busy a couple of weeks before and after Christmas, which makes most visits quick and easy. One of the regular staff members, a woman who works there often, is extremely friendly and does her job very well—always professional and efficient. I can confidently leave prepaid packages without worrying about needing a receipt or whether they’ll get scanned properly.
I almost hate to leave this review because I don’t want word to get out and have this place overrun with humans, but credit is due where it’s earned. Great service and a stress-free experience every time.”

“I can't say enough about the exceptional service I received from Boxford Post Office and Postmaster Giana Stachulski. I had ordered a package from Australia on November 30th, with the intention of giving it as a present today, December 20th. However, the USPS tracking updates were sluggish, and I was starting to worry it wouldn’t arrive in time. After submitting a request for my package to be expedited, Giana went above and beyond to make sure I received it.
She personally called me to let me know the package had arrived at the Boxford Post Office, and she assured me that she would carefully search through the parcels to find mine. True to her word, Giana hand-delivered the package to me, ensuring it made it to me on time for my special occasion. I was absolutely blown away by her kindness, professionalism, and dedication to customer satisfaction.

“I have visited this post office several times in the last few weeks and have had nothing short of outstanding service. The staff all are extremely timely, courteous, and helpful. There is rarely a line and if there is, there are 2 associates helping up front. The attitude of the staff is positive, kind, but also professional and helpful. All the staff I have interacted with are kind, but Alicia especially has been amazing. I have a somewhat complex and time consuming transaction and she doesn’t skip a beat with it. She embodies what every employee should strive for and I would go out of my way to visit this location as unfortunately I have not had this same experience at all locations, it varies wildly. 5 shining stars to Alicia and this location!”

“This location has absolutely the best USPS team in the Greater Boston area. I've visited USPS locations all over the region & I stop at the Day St. location a few times a week. The staff here has been consistently friendly and knowledgeable over the years even when it can get busy, they do their best to keep customers smiling. I some needed extra help today and Roselynn was incredibly patient and thorough, she even called customer service to help me track down the answer I needed from HQ. I also really appreciate the drop-off window at this location so I can pre-pay my packages and not have to wait in line. Please be nice to the staff if you go here, I see how much they deal with in a day in this busy square & they are some really amazing folks!”

“I enjoy going to this location... I was new to the area and the desk attendant Bob was very kind and welcoming. He always has such an energetic personality that almost allows you to forget anything else that's wrong with your day. Overtime his demeanor has been unwavering. He genuinely is kind and I always look forward to his exuberance when I come to this location. Jim is also kind and often has candy. Overall I would recommend this location most importantly because they also pick up their phone which saves you a trip if you can have you a question clarified over the phone. I just hope their Self Service/P.O Box portion was 24 hours like some or opened later”

“I am assuming she is Italian, not sure. However, the woman in the post office today was completely fun and smart. Beautiful woman inside out despite the line growing. She was so chill and professional. Instead of making me wait again in line. She stamped the letter and I was done already before I know it. I came here once before and let me tell you, the guy I can’t remember what was his name or what nationality he could be from, sure he is white, but definitely from somewhere. He was absolutely hating his job. I had to send two letter certified with return signature requested and he acted like I sent him to Africa to dig some gold in extreme temperature with no water. He was ridiculous. Every job has its positives and negatives. It’s the interactions with the customers that makes your day better. I understand there are definitely rude or vulgar or those who think they are better than everyone else, but the way he was disgusted with his work was concerning. I almost wanted to go to another post office, but too bad I already started filling out the forms.”

Super “Murica” to dump on USPS workers (just looking at a LOT of USPS reviews) - if you don’t like the climate in general as a customer then not much will please you…they’re federal workers, these are the conditions our tax dollars provide for most government employees - we just happen to see USPS workers most, typically. Mistakes happen but it’s stunning that we rail on normal people for doing their jobs, and let politicians rob us blind while putting these employees with limited resources in our warpath when an envelope rips in transit. They’re not your doorman or concierge or sommelier, they’re mail processors who take a lot of garbage from literally everyone. It is a great place for some folk to go practice kindness ?”
“The staff that help me with my packages have been very efficient and friendly. Only problem I have with the E. Arl branch is that sometimes they are closed for an hour or so in the afternoon. (Now I know to go before 1PM) Arlington is lucky to have two post offices within a mile 1/2 of each other, though, so if I don't have time to come back to this small Post Office, I can go to the main one.”
