“Absolutely fabulous Linguica and Chourico Sausages. We have to mail order online but it's worth the effort. Usually ships fast and arrives well packed and cold. A regular custom with my family in Massachusetts. They fed it to me all day long when I visited. My aunts would claim they had a special store. One day she said she was going to Fall River to get some linguica. When I moved south, I could not find the real thing. Then I remembered what she said (Fall River) a number of years after leaving New England. Then came the internet!”

“If you haven’t stopped into the Italian Corner, make a point of it! We were only 8 minutes from our hotel but after getting FOUR sandwiches for the 2 of us on Sunday 4/7; I’d drive farther!! This place was featured on Diners, Drive-In’s and Dive’s and I can see why it was recommended for the show. The team that works here is hardworking and incredibly helpful. I’d like to bottle up their kindness and spread it around. Good Job Team!! The owner – a pure delight!! We did eat one there, as recommended to not wait; good night, it was off the chart, de-li-cious! The Mortadella on Focaccia (#1), I think we need to go back to get a few for the plane ride home. The focaccia is crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The Mortadella is some of the best I have had. Major flavor and balance throughout. Monday, we ate one on the way to our next adventure – the Brasato (#25) (which was featured on triple D) and the owner’s go to when he’s hungry. Instead of using the salsa verde dressing it’s the salsa rossa dressing which is the verde plus sundried tomato’s and I can see why people as for that substitution on other sandwiches. Pares beautifully with the beef, fresh lettuce and house made sub buns. My only question, why did we get the small (ha). The (#16), Combo, is a beautiful blend of Ham, Salami, Capicola hot (but not too hot) provolone, fresh lettuce, and tomato. The provolone is not too overpowering. Our least fav, can we say least fav if we ate the whole thing? Lol. Still incredible was the Bresaola (#19), Cured beef tenderloin, truffle oil, arugula, shaved parmigiano. “It's not as big and expansive and well-known as Patel Bros., but you can get pretty much everything you want or need for your curries and masalas. Except not much fresh veggies - at least on this visit. And if you don't feel like cooking, they have plenty of ready-to-eat options as well as fresh homemade samosas (vegetarian and chicken versions). Well worth a visit!”

The unpronounceable tomme de la chataigneraie was wonderful as were the Ossau-Iraty, Marcel petit Comte, and aged Gouda (OG Kristal, Van tricht). The Norwegian crackers were a revelation. “We usually stop in to pick up stuffed grape leaves, couscous salad, and feta cheese. The feta wasn't out so a very helpful employee offered to go in the back and get some while we continued to shop. Gave us the opportunity to really look around and compare prices to where I normally shop. There was a great deal on chicken leg quarters and ground beef plus many produce items not available at our regular grocery store. Decided we really need to start doing our regular grocery shopping here.”

“I've driven by here a few times over the years, then finally stopped in. Fresh home made pickles were great, the meats look amazing. The store has a liquor store on one side and a hardware store on the other. My type of place ? It has an old-school feel to it. The meats look amazing, we got strip steak and sausages. We will definitely be back, we should all support small mom and pop businesses over huge chains.”

“This ALDI location got a glow up and is now quite Bougie. They've begun carrying more brand named products and invested in self checkout stations for small grocery orders. Thanks future overpriced condominiums popping up across the street. They've already made traffic 100% worse but at least the stores in the adjacent plazas will be nicer.”

“I moved into a house nearby & haven't put the effort in to get my new water filter setup (it's a sortof intimidating reverse-osmosis system & I'd rather not bother at moment!) This Rocky Mountain Spring Water place is only 1.5 miles away. The cost was 30cents per gallon for (seemingly) great water. The location seemed clean & well-functioning. The process was a little tedious, because if I put more than 30cents at a time, it would spit out change. That meant for my 5gal bottle, I had to put in 30cents, wait for it to fill & put in another 30cents, etc. Still not enough hassle to take off a star...”
