When I called in, Jake worked with me to set up an appointment quickly even though the specific tire I needed was not in stock and had to be ordered. Julio arrived and was professional, fast and took great care of my Audi S5. He checked and inflated the rest of my tires and made sure everything was ready to go. “I was in to have one of my tires swapped out due to a puncture. While the car was in the mechanic checked the front suspension and noticed serious issues with the ball joint and tie rod links. Although they don’t do suspensions work they recommended replacing as soon as possible. My mechanic agreed and said they saved me some serious potential damage. Thank you Town Fair tire crew, Shawn and Paul for the great service.”

“Was recommended by my neighbor to go and check out the Braintree location and ask for Tom and or Mark . I needed 4 new tires and a alignment etc. We'll I went there Thursday morning and and dealt with Tom and Mark. They were INCREDIBLE. They got me exactly what I needed . They didn't try and stick me with the most expensive tires known to man . They asked me how much I drive , highway, far distances etc . I told them what my driving habits were and what price range i wanted to be in. Both Mark and Tom got me 4 beautiful tires , highly recommend from what I saw online for that brand. 4 tires, mounted,balanced, 4 wheel alignment and road hazard insurance for a incredible price way in my price range and I was in and out in a hour . Unbelievably happy and satisfied and I will continue to go there for all my tire needs and highly recommend that location and dealing with Mark and Tom specifically.”

“We’ve been taking our cars to Alewife Automotive for almost 10 years, and I’m consistently impressed with their service and kindness. We’ve had everything done from inspections to tires to repairs. They are transparent and fair, and they never tack on surprise charges. A perfect example of this was I had taken a new car to get inspected with plates to a shop closer to our home, and not only were they kind of rude to me, but they wanted to charge me $20 to put plates on. I called George at Alewife and he said to come on over, they’ll take care of it all no charge. And this is something I’m used to with them—no charges to change out a bulb, top off fluids, etc. As a woman I’ve found that the stereotype is usually true with many shops, trying to get me to buy something I don’t need or up-charge me for something I wasn’t prepared for. It’s worth the slightly longer drive to get here for their service, I don’t know why I ever try to go anywhere else!”

“Robert from Mavis tire in Everette was absolutely fantastic. He was able to get me in quick and easy. We discussed a couple options for patching my tire and we eventually settled on a patch on the inside of the tire. Robert even went the extra mile and put a layer of rubber cement to really ensure no air leaks out. I also just want to put it out there that was denied service by 4 other tire places before I called Robert. I understand places maybe busy and full but I called these places 1 hour and 30 minutes before they closed and most of the places told me they were all done for the day and would not help. Hats off to Robert for getting me back in service and ready to roll for 7am the next day.”

“Came in for winter tire changeover. Was told at 2pm that they were a man down. I said, no problem, I’ll be here until 5:30.
Got the car at 5:30 and hit the highway and the car starts shimmying right away. I was not happy.
Called the next day. Made a priority appointment. When I showed up for the spot, I was polite but firm. I told one of the guys that I had sat patiently for 3.5 hours waiting for my tires the first time in. No problem. I had the time. Today, I don’t have the time and did not want to wait. I have never left Direct Tire with out-of-balance tires.
So, Fabio, a mechanic that I met looked at the tires and rims. He brought me out to show me the problem. The right side tires were wobbly as he turned them. Huh. I had not seen that before.
So we made a plan. I asked that he rebalance the tires to the best of his ability and put the two best balanced tires up front. He agreed that was the best plan of action.
I was not there long, and when I left, I hopped on the highway, and it was 100% better. Not perfect, but so much better. I know that it will never be perfect. I guess this is what had been done in the past without me knowing.
Once again, great service, people who care, and a super staff keep me coming back. It may be a little more expensive, but it’s always worth it. Every single time.
I appreciate your attention to customer service. It makes all the difference in the world.

“Hands down the best auto service experience I have ever had, and consistently so. I fully trust them with my family's vehicles and safety.
- They take care of you here and treat you like family. Honestly, even better than family. They truly take care of you car and understand how much reliable repair service matters. They are trustworthy and clearly are not pushing unnecessary repairs (unless of course you don't care about your car being in good shape).
- They get things done on a fast schedule and have gone the extra mile for me multiple times. They get you complementary Lyft service and/or a loaner car when needed.
- They clearly strive for operational excellence and first-rate customer service and somehow over-deliver on that. The garage floor is organized and clearly well run. They provide timely updates, videos of your car's parts requiring repair, and helpful explainer videos so you can be informed about the necessity of a repair.
- This may not be the right place if you only care about minimal cost (and are fine with questionable quality). They are not as cost competitive as some small pop-and-son garages, but their service and quality is so much better that it is hard to compare those. Imagine the customer-first approach of a great local shop, but paired with quality that far exceeds anything else I have ever worked with.
- The owner Charlie is very present and it shows. He takes every individual customer seriously and will ensure they are taken care of. His influence and energy drives the culture there. Also shoutout to Craig. He just has such a great positive attitude and will make things happen for you quickly when you really need it.”

“Met Carmelo and Gus this morning when I took my 23 old truck for an inspection. I have had bad experience at other shops for simple inspections before. Not at Volsar, they were friendly, professional, and honest. I did all the work myself so I know my truck inside out and know nothing is wrong or need fixing. “Matt, Steve, and the Team took great care of me in a 24 hour notice recently. Matt, who is very knowledgeable, and hard working, diagnosed my vehicle and provided me with accurate details on items that needed repair that I was slightly aware of.
Steve ensured I had a rental to take care of personal matters on the next business day while double checking my transmission after all the repairs were completed as I was told that I would need a new one within the last year. Steve, the owner, has been in business for 40 years and very competitively priced, particularly for the Newton area. Highly recommend!!!!”
