“I had a nail in one of my tires and was slowly leaking. Walked in to the shop and was attended immediately. After accessment, the tire was not repairable because it was close to the sidewall. My tires are all around 7/32 thread depth. They offered a used tire that was very similar in thread depth for a reasonable price, including balancing and installation. Was in and out in 1 hour. Pretty good for a walk in. While waiting, many people also dropped by and asked for help either for alignment or replacing a tire. Highly recommended. I prefer local shops to chains and this is why.”

“I called around to a few places last week to compare prices and confirm if the whistling sound I was experiencing was likely a brake issue. I chose Top Auto because the reviews were incredible, prices fair and John was so helpful over the phone. John and the entire team were fantastic when I arrived, they quickly diagnosed the problem and provided me with options. They were able to replace my two front brake pads and rotors, and even helped me as a courtesy with a strange clunking noise I was experiencing. The engine splash shield was partially hanging down due to missing screws and they kindly replaced them for me. I am beyond relieved to report that my car is running as smoothly as ever - no more strange noises! I will happily return with any further issues and highly recommend them. Thanks again!”

“David saved my 2012 F25 that was giving a nondescript transmission issue and was super transparent in everything him and his team did to get my SUV up and running properly again. He makes sure to source the right (and not always the cheapest) parts that balances price and reliability. His team was super thorough in their work, even going above and beyond when they do see a surrounding issue (in my case, I had a valve cover replacement and there were a bunch of RTV and epoxy gunk leftover by shoddy, hacky fixes from the previous owner).
I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Foreign for any future BMW work with their level of expertise in the brand and level of professionalism. David made sure to explain everything in layman's terms when I wasn't familiar with something that was going on with the car and was generous enough to talk shop with me on some other unrelated issues going on in the car that wasn't part of the work order. Hands down the best BMW shop experience I've had in my 9 years ownership of various BMWs!”

“Drove into Boston to see a show on a Saturday. My VW MK5 R32 which has DSG trannie and Haldex 4wd was almost there when I started losing drive near the exit. Short version, I made it to Kneeland St, got off and it died. No drive, either forward or back. You could see transmission fluid underneath. Not a good sign. Called AAA and got a flatbed up to VIP. Unfortunately, they were by now closed so I filled out the form and left the car and keys. Worst case was the DSG needed replacing and costing $3-5K. Got to the hotel, went for dinner/drinks and saw the show. Got an Uber back home. The next day I talked to Adam who worked on the car. No trannie fluid in the transmission and the filter/filter housing needed replacement in order to fill it with transmission fluid to see if there was further damage. Cost of about a grand to see if it needed to cost more. Sure, roll the dice. Two days later they called to say all was good after waiting to get the parts and the DSG fluid. Needless to say I believe they do great work and at a reasonable price. This is a complicated car to work on and their diagnosis was excellent. Drove it back this AM and it drives great. Thanks!”
