“The Post Office at 1179 Main St in Wakefield is honestly a little hidden gem. It’s only ever really busy a couple of weeks before and after Christmas, which makes most visits quick and easy. One of the regular staff members, a woman who works there often, is extremely friendly and does her job very well—always professional and efficient. I can confidently leave prepaid packages without worrying about needing a receipt or whether they’ll get scanned properly.
I almost hate to leave this review because I don’t want word to get out and have this place overrun with humans, but credit is due where it’s earned. Great service and a stress-free experience every time.”

“I needed to send some books media rate, but I haven’t sent packages through USPS in a while and was unfamiliar and unsure about the process. The woman behind the counter was incredibly patient and helped me out in correctly addressing my package and finding a way to print my pre-paid label (FYI, no printer here but if you have a QR code from Click-N-Ship they can scan it and print the label themselves). They were also managing the line efficiently on a Friday afternoon close to closing and kept everything moving. All the packages I sent arrived in one piece. This is hands down the best experience I have ever had at any USPS location.
Editing to add: I came again to mail another package, and the same fantastic person helped me find the most affordable shipping option and was patient while I figured out my shipping address. I had tried to mail this same thing at FedEx the day before but couldn’t because I didn’t have my ID on me— so glad, because this was $5 cheaper for a faster and more convenient experience. I love this post office.”
“The staffs are always helpful and friendly. And they remember you. It feels like a tight neighborhood post office vibe which some times can be hard to find elsewhere. Parking can be tricky though.”

People mistake this for the processing plant all the time--01889, Middlesex Essex is a different place so if you have complaints about your package being stuck, it's not the fault of the North Reading Post Office. “I have visited this post office several times in the last few weeks and have had nothing short of outstanding service. The staff all are extremely timely, courteous, and helpful. There is rarely a line and if there is, there are 2 associates helping up front. The attitude of the staff is positive, kind, but also professional and helpful. All the staff I have interacted with are kind, but Alicia especially has been amazing. I have a somewhat complex and time consuming transaction and she doesn’t skip a beat with it. She embodies what every employee should strive for and I would go out of my way to visit this location as unfortunately I have not had this same experience at all locations, it varies wildly. 5 shining stars to Alicia and this location!”
“This location has absolutely the best USPS team in the Greater Boston area. I've visited USPS locations all over the region & I stop at the Day St. location a few times a week. The staff here has been consistently friendly and knowledgeable over the years even when it can get busy, they do their best to keep customers smiling. I some needed extra help today and Roselynn was incredibly patient and thorough, she even called customer service to help me track down the answer I needed from HQ. I also really appreciate the drop-off window at this location so I can pre-pay my packages and not have to wait in line. Please be nice to the staff if you go here, I see how much they deal with in a day in this busy square & they are some really amazing folks!”

“The Staff at this location are 2 of the friendliest people I've ever encountered. I come in there with at least 30 priority envelopes to mail, each one having to be manually entered. It can be time-consuming and tedious. Kelly has helped me the last 2 times I've been in and the other woman (whose name has escaped me, sorry!) helped me during my first visit. Both have been so great, helpful and friendly. They get me in and out of there in record time and make my experience very pleasant. Heck, even the fellow customers I've encountered there are super friendly, too! It's nice to be helped by people that are happy to be helping! Great work, keep it up!”

“I had a great experience at the Somerville USPS store. I sent important international documents, and Marcello was invaluable, professional, and kind. He explained everything clearly, double-checked the details and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to feel genuinely cared for at a post office, but that’s precisely how I felt here.
I wish the interior were more modern, but the quality of service more than made up for it.

“5 stars! I have family members out of state, that wk for USPS service, so I understand the Federal Standards- Saugus Post office is exceptional, and, as other reviews,I choose to use Saugus, because of exceptional service, everytime I've come!
I've had real problems elsewhere in Essex Co. that have not followed Federal USPS standards!
They, are always efficient, kind/ pleasant, nonpartial, and professional...
I've had to call Postmaster/ Feds because of breaks of personality -problems brought to the job, at other Essex County Post offices...
Saugus, has never been in this category, since, from another state, never either has their Post Offices behaved untowardly...
I've referred persons, to apply for work, when they hire, at Saugus USPS!”
