“The Post Office at 1179 Main St in Wakefield is honestly a little hidden gem. It’s only ever really busy a couple of weeks before and after Christmas, which makes most visits quick and easy. One of the regular staff members, a woman who works there often, is extremely friendly and does her job very well—always professional and efficient. I can confidently leave prepaid packages without worrying about needing a receipt or whether they’ll get scanned properly.
I almost hate to leave this review because I don’t want word to get out and have this place overrun with humans, but credit is due where it’s earned. Great service and a stress-free experience every time.”

“I needed to send some books media rate, but I haven’t sent packages through USPS in a while and was unfamiliar and unsure about the process. The woman behind the counter was incredibly patient and helped me out in correctly addressing my package and finding a way to print my pre-paid label (FYI, no printer here but if you have a QR code from Click-N-Ship they can scan it and print the label themselves). They were also managing the line efficiently on a Friday afternoon close to closing and kept everything moving. All the packages I sent arrived in one piece. This is hands down the best experience I have ever had at any USPS location.
Editing to add: I came again to mail another package, and the same fantastic person helped me find the most affordable shipping option and was patient while I figured out my shipping address. I had tried to mail this same thing at FedEx the day before but couldn’t because I didn’t have my ID on me— so glad, because this was $5 cheaper for a faster and more convenient experience. I love this post office.”
“I am disabled and use an electric wheelchair. Whenever I go to the post office, the employees are always courteous, friendly and professional. They are always ready to help in any way.”
“I appreciate the self-ship kiosk inside so I don't have to wait in line. I typically ship eBay packages and all I need is the QR code for the shipping label. The kiosk is quick and easy, and prints the label. Then I put the package in a large bin. There are other shipping options on the kiosk, not only QR code. Try it.

“What a quaint post office. And every time I stop in, the clerk on duty is always chipper. I think it's so sweet too that they always have a basket of candy on the counter! It's efficiently run & I am always fortunate to get a parking spot right out in front.”
“I rarely leave reviews, but this USPS store is the most reliable USPS I’ve ever been too. The Asian male staff (unfortunately I didn’t ask his name) welcomed me and helped me label my package. The process was very smooth. He even bowed after I said thank you.”

“I have visited this post office several times in the last few weeks and have had nothing short of outstanding service. The staff all are extremely timely, courteous, and helpful. There is rarely a line and if there is, there are 2 associates helping up front. The attitude of the staff is positive, kind, but also professional and helpful. All the staff I have interacted with are kind, but Alicia especially has been amazing. I have a somewhat complex and time consuming transaction and she doesn’t skip a beat with it. She embodies what every employee should strive for and I would go out of my way to visit this location as unfortunately I have not had this same experience at all locations, it varies wildly. 5 shining stars to Alicia and this location!”

“By far the best post office I've used. We spoke with Esther in-person about our missing package and she was extremely kind and knowledgeable in helping us troubleshoot - explaining how usps works, all the possible failure points, who to contact in the event of each and how, etc. - in addition to personally checking in the back of the post office itself several times in case the package were there. They're also the only post office that I've been able to speak to on the phone (the only one that consistently answers) and they were kind and helpful then as well.”
“Mark was an extremely competent and efficient USPS employee. I watched as he expertly navigated a busy lunchtime rush, assisting customers with passport applications, mail orders, and my postal stamp purchase. He directed customers who needed to fill out forms to do so on the side while he simultaneously helped other customers, quickly processing the long lunchtime line. He was professional and kind. I appreciate him and all postal workers! Thanks for a great experience.”

“This particular branch in Saugus MA has very difficult parking out front on a very busy thin street. There is parking behind the building, but you have to drive around, which is not a big deal. The staff are very friendly but it is busy and a line can form that will take you quite some time to get to the window. I use this post office if I’m in the area out of convenience. If I have to make a special trip, there are other quicker post offices around just as close.”
