“Tino's did a great job repainting our home and fixing exterior moldings and trim. They were punctual, detail-oriented, on budget and left a clean worksite behind when completed. The house looks great and we have received a lot of compliments, both on how it looks but also from people who regularly walk our street and saw their daily work/process.”

“I’ve stopped by here for a number of random bits from bike chain degreaser to toilet clog dissolving solution throughout the last 4 years I’ve lived in the area. The only hardware store I go to. They have everything and are very nice people. 👍”

“I went into Richmond Hardware today to find some mechanical bolts and nuts to replace the broken ones on my collapsible camping chair. I was met by the manager/owner(?) who paged an employee to assist me in selecting the proper length and width of the bolts and nuts. Matt examined the broken piece and selected a proper replacement bolt for each of the broken pieces. I thought that I would be spending my afternoon with pliers and a wrench. But to my surprise, Matt attached the bolts and tightened the nuts. I definitely recommend Richmond Hardware for their courteous employees and expert service. Thank you.”

“More than meets the eye. They have a huge basement full of stuff, so if you don’t see something upstairs, just ask! Parking is also hidden behind the building. Great location, very helpful staff.”

“I was offered a water when I stopped in to grab something small (I was mid run!) and they’ve got a wall of Polaroids of the dogs that come to visit! Honestly, those two things alone deserve five stars. More humanity in our commercial spaces, please! :)”

“Ace is a hardware store. It has tools, paint, silverware, snacks, lawnmowers, weedwackers etc. It is pretty cheap and has alot of different supplies. After buying something you can get a balloon. It is pretty good and it has nice staff”

“Danny is the kind of dude you meet who always has a pocket knife when you have to cut a shoelace and a cold beverage for an adult and a child. If you need toilet paper, wing nuts, or Red Bull and maybe some tampons please go to Danny’s hardware because Danny will hook you up and if he doesn’t have it, he will get it. I would trust Daniel to watch my children while my wife and my girlfriend and I all go to the movies together. And you better believe we buy our snacks from the hardware store.”

“Service is always 5 stars here, the never look and run away like the big chain stores. Old school five star service. they look at you and ask if they can help you find anything. They always make great keys and best price around. Definately check here with auto keys 1st, $20 here. Selection isn't perfect, but if you have the chance to save $70 it's worth a check., $90 and $200 at the dealer these days. Especially if I need a few keys. The vale is greater or better than chain stores. Alot of the piping parts are way better quality than Lowes. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** * * * * * S-U-P-P-O-R-T L-O-C-A-L * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** * *”

“Best paint and hardware store around, friendly and helpful staff. If you need help picking your colors they will thaw care of you. Stop by and feel the experience. 10 stars if I could do it.”
702 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain MA 02130
“I love how vintage the store is. The floor is the same floor that was installed hundred years ago. The only thing that's new is the staff in there each time will present more helpful than the last. I get all my paint there. It's a little bit more money for the Benjamin Moore, but it's my Neighbourhood. This is my store and I love it. They answer every question they know all of our paint eggshell Ross everything but it makes it so much easier. I have gotten locks I have bought garbage barrels. The store is very deep so many aisles it's confusing and it looks like a small store , but it really has pretty big.”

“I was looking for upholstery pins to hold down a new chair cover. Woodside Hardware didn't carry them. So I called Shirley True Value and they did have them and they were cheaper than Walmart. 🙂”

“There is a man by the name of Kaya employed here and, let me tell you, he will offer you the most stellar service you will ever experience. It is almost transcendent, akin to the sublime. I am almost tempted to become religious after my experience with Kaya, as he is nothing less than God's gift to the world. If ever you lose faith in humanity, stop by Hillside Gardens, and a single conversation with this man will turn you into the most fervent believer in the goodness of existence.”

“Absolutely exceptional experience at Model Ace Hardware, and a huge part of that was because of Gabe. He genuinely has some of the best customer service skills I’ve ever encountered at any hardware store. He was attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind from start to finish. We came in needing help with several odd jobs and random projects, and Gabe took the time to listen to everything we needed and made sure we left with the right solutions. What really stood out was his attitude. He never made us feel rushed or like any question was too small. He treated us like our projects actually mattered and went above and beyond to help. That kind of customer service is increasingly rare, and Gabe is a tremendous asset to this store. Management should seriously consider promoting him. Employees like Gabe are exactly what keep customers coming back.”

“Perfect experience overall! There are 4 Stihl dealers within twenty miles of me none of which had the saw I needed in stock. They all said they could order what I needed but it would be more than a week before I could take delivery. I wanted to purchase from a small business if possible and In my search found Milton Village Hardware online , they had the saw I needed so after seeing they have been in business since 1918 decided to buy from them. Purchase made Tuesday afternoon and I was using the saw Friday afternoon on our farm in Tennessee! I would not hesitate to purchase from them again and plan to buy my next saw from Milton Village Hardware .”

“Super responsive company. After others tried to investigate, Anthony was the one who identified my heat pump's rare problem by spending all day investigating and calling the manufacturer. Then Josh went above and beyond to help me understand my options and how to navigate the difficult and expensive decision on new systems. I trusted him completely, he was in and out of my home several times, he was extremely responsive, and very collegial. He is obviously dedicated to his job. It's always the people that you interface with that make a company, and I am extremely appreciative of Josh and the team. Later Chris and the install team spent all day putting in my new system. Thank you team.”

“I look forward to making regular trips Fells Ace Hardware. Every time I step in the door, I am treated with friendly, helpul service. Staff is super knowledgeable and, as a contractor, they carry a lot of supplies that'll help you in a pinch. They carry Benjamin Moore line of paints, they also stock Milwaukee power tools. Plumbers and electricians will find the basic parts and repair products in stock. From ping pong balls to duct tape to lawn fertilizer, this compact location has a lot of inventory. If you need home related stuff, save on gas and make the trip to Fells. It's always a helpful resource.”

“Best prices that cannot be beat. Honest good old fashioned hard working people where customer service is their priority. Very knowledgeable & willing to give you time. Apparently at one time there may have been more joke store items, or perhaps they were a joke store, still theres a few nostalgic things left for purchase. But all jokes aside this business is top quality, doesn't get any more real, i give them all 10s!”

“I had such a great experience at this store today. I went in to buy bolt cutters because I had accidentally put a padlock on backwards, rendering it unable to be unlocked. The gentleman managing the store could have easily sold me the bolt cutters, but instead helped me problem solve and ended up cutting down the key so I was able to successfully unlock the padlock. He was incredibly helpful and generous- I am very grateful!”

“Since we lived in Firestone Park in the 90s, I almost always go to this Ace Hardware. But about a year ago when I needed some screws that would go into concrete, I was in the Falls and stopped into Menards "to save time". The customer service representative was eager please but had zero knowledge about what I was asking or where to find that type of screw. We wasted at least 20 minutes. So I left straight from there and came to Ace hardware in Firestone Park, and they knew exactly what I needed and suggested a drill bit that ended up being perfect for my needs. They have always been highly knowledgeable, helpful, and the prices are great.Don't waste your time anywhere else ?”

“Needed some special pipes and adapters for Insinkerator installation. Tried couple more Ace and Plumbing stores in the neighborhood but did not find what was needed. Plumbing consultant in this store was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Figured out how to do what I needed, found all the pieces and I was able to complete the job. Thank you!”
727 Granite Street, Braintree MA 02184
“A store that knows what they are doing. Going here for now on since my Home Depot nightmares. Too many kids working there or more like staff acting like kids playing on phones and ignoring customers. I have not see that happen at any Harbor Freight store at least when I have been there.”
110 Hancock St, Braintree MA 02184
“Jake and everyone over at this location is very friendly, hardworking, and extremely fair to work with. I use them on almost every project and could not be more thankful with the help. I highly recommend them - going to continue using them for years to come.”
