“The Main Street Cafe entrance is inside the general store. We ate in the cafe. They had a large selection of sandwiches and wraps, and some special desserts. We enjoyed our sandwiches and got pumpkin bread pudding to take home.”
“This is a great local market that truly has it figured out! Really fresh and hand picked produce, and the prepared foods are to die for! As you might expect, higher prices, but supporting a business like this one is worth it. If you're in the Berkshires, try and stop in! Grab some prepared foods for a hike and enjoy!”
“Guidos, please after shopping at your store for 33 years I wish you would make returning an item a less fraught experience. In the 33 years which I have shopped regularly I can count on one hand the number of items I have returned. Every time I have been met with rudeness. I love your store but sometimes (rarely) an item does not meet your (mine) standards. This happened with your grilled artichokes recently which were really poor. Not a big deal, it happens. I returned it and did not have a receipt although there is no other business that sells these in the area. The manager reluctanty gave me a $6 credit (having deducted the couple of artichokes we sampled). I said thank you, she (tall, thin, blond) walked away without either apologizing or even saying you're welcome. I know this sounds silly, definitely first world problem but Guidos if you're reading this remember - folks like me are your bread and butter throughout the year. Treat your very loyal customers (which I am) and not just the summer time crowd, with a bit more courtesy. Julia Allan”
“This is hands down my favorite store in all the Berkshires. Isabel and Bernie took a good store and, over the past three years, made it iconic. Step by step they modernized it, reimagined the offerings, staffed it with a wonderful team. When most of us were staying home during the pandemic years, they showed up every day, demonstrating to the community that when you are essential, and food certainly is, you serve even at your own peril. Thank you.Contrast it to what we typically find now in the food deserts we call our small towns. At the local "marts" you'll find highly processed foods that are terrible for you. Here, at Loeb's, you can delight in local breads, fresh meats, sandwiches made with love, organic vegetables, food staples that are good for you. All at prices that are reasonable! Who knew it was possible. Bernie, Isabel, all I want for Christmas is for every small town in America to have a store, and store owners, with your vision and dedication to the hard work of being the best you can be. Keep it up. You make the challenge of greatness look so simple when in reality it is an art form.”
“I love going to The Big Y whenever I'm in town. I'm from another state. Their meat dept has the freshest meat. Their sushi is freshly made right in front of you.”
“What great country store. Lots of unique food items and dozens of bulk items like spices and candy. Sandwiches, homemade goods, and yup garden tools and lightbulbs...worth a visit even if just passing through town.”
“Wonderful little shop, all on the honor system so bring a variety of bills. They also have a venmo option. Fruits, vegetables, honey and more. Love to support small local businesses as well as eat local!”
“I love to eat at the Y. Come here quite a bit today. I just ran in to pick up a few soda pops they carry. A brand that makes birch beer. Some of the best birch beer I have shoved down my throat. If you like birch beer, you should definitely try these locally made soda pops. Additionally, they make subs in the back. The meatball sub is very good many times they run out of meatballs because it is so popular, I keep telling them you can never have too many balls. Some of the other subs are good. Also never had the pizza or the soup but a lot of people seem to get it overall pretty good store with lots of parking.”
“Really great market. The fresh food options are great. The meat and fish counters have a large selection of high quality food. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. I always find something I didn't know I was looking for when I go.”
“Full service. Deli. Best grocery near Stockbridge, but the Price Chopper in Great Barrington is under renovation right now.
Good wine and beer store nextdoor.”
“I love this place. I don't live in the area but every time I'm here, I make a trip into this magical little store. The bakery, and all its wonderful offerings, are to die for. The cheese department is out of this world and quite frankly, dangerous. I don't even try to control myself. I love wandering the aisles and just grabbing random, interesting items. There are wonderful local items in their freezer meat and dairy case; I've had some of the best raw scallops of my life from their fish department. Their prepared foods are high quality and they even have a great little kitchen supply store. Every person I've ever spoken to there is kind and helpful. If I ever move up here, this store will be one of the major reasons why. It's every food lovers dream.”
“Great small spot to stop on the way to Bousquet Mtn ! or if your staying down in Lee just a short trip for a great sandwich. friendly staff younger women at the front especially. ( i was the green shirt guy if you see this) Corey.”
“A great little store for the most part - a bit overpriced, but not egregiously so. They have a good selection of dry goods, frozen dinners, produce, etc. and the staff are always quite friendly and helpful. They also host some great community events. It loses some points because it's not actually a co-op in the traditional sense - it's owned by anyone in the community who can pay enough to become an "owner," not by the employees. Also, the cafe and hot bar are ludicrously overpriced and chronically understaffed, and lately the hours have been unpredictable. From what I understand the "owners" have decided that the cafe should be run by one or two people max, leading to long wait times and poor service. The staff are fantastic, but these days I mostly stick to their great selection of premade foods in the cooler.”
“The new mgr, there has totally cleaned up the store ,I live near by and go there often and the store has been in bad shape for a long time,I was so surprised to see it looking so good I asked her name and she is the mgr I think it's jessica,I had to tell you because she deserves to know her hard work is noticed in a great way!!!”
“This is great! Huge upgrade over the regular price chopper that was there before. Excellent selection, pharmacy with longer hours than the others in town, and THE BEST hot sauce collection I’ve seen at a grocery store in a long time!”

“It's a big store, like really big. Prices don't seem competitive at all. But, it might be only on the items that I would normally buy. Best roasted chicken around the area. Great selection of deli and at normal prices. Produce seems way overpriced compared to Market 32 and crazy overpriced compared to Aldi.”
“It's a OK location though not much residential nearby so you'd have to drive. It's near Hilton garden Inn but Guidos Fresh Market is closer. cleanliness is decent, people are friendly and willing to help. The prices I feel are ok but discounts not as good as the local Big Y so that's the reason for my rating.”
“Just stopped into this location just minutes before closing with my husband, I must say that our cashier Matthew S. was an absolute savior and able to answer all of my questions as I was uncertain about certain items I was about to purchase- most employees would rush us out the door with a short and negative demeanor but Matthew S. was there with a glowing attitude and pleasant reassurance with my concerns regarding some products I was not sure if I should take a chance on, he is clearly knowledgeable about Market 32 products and policies which made me feel confident moving forward with our purchases, people like him are tough to come by and I will say that I hope he is here every time we come in to shop, thank you Matthew S. and a big thank you to his management team for having him be a part of your team, we will be shopping here more often because of his level of care and support for our needs!”
“Great cheese, breads and spreads but way too much attitude. I wouldn’t mind spending so much if it felt a bit more welcoming. Not paying to feel like I’m wasting their time.”
“Exceeded expectations for sure…we had the Nic Griddle sandwich and the corned beef hash and eggs, and both were fantastic. What might seem like a basic diner place takes extra pride in its food. The corned beef hash was diced fine with peppers added, the hollandaise was unique in a great way, and my wife loved the maple flavored muffin for the Nic Griddle. We will be back for sure!”
