“I've been using Koopman Lumber for over a decade, I'd describe them as a boutique hardware, paint and lumber store. They are much smaller in scale than a Home Depot, but offer more personalized service, and a faster and easier solution for most related needs. For example, when I purchased a gas grill from them, it was assembled and delivered on the same day of my order. They delivered it to my deck, ready to go. I needed to match a ten-year-old outdoor trim paint for my deck and didn't know what color was used. Not only did they scan it for a perfect match, but they also provided a free paint sample can (see photo) so I could test it. They provide one free paint sample per month if you're in their customer loyalty program. You can't get everything here, but you can get most things, and find them faster and easier than the giant box store alternatives. It looks like they are only located in Massachusetts, with 11 locations. I will return.”

I often go in there with a picture on my phone of what I need or some project that I need suggestions on, and they're always able to come up with something. Joan is especially stellar in her ability to help!”

They have so many different kinds with different decorations., toppers, lights, ornaments,..this family is so kind, they will do their best to get it, help you carry your bags to your car or deliver near. They have aisle after aisle full of many items.”

“Always try to avoid the big chains and support local businesses. You might pay a little extra for some things (who can complete on prices against the mega box stores?) but you'll get better attention from the staff and they'll make sure to answer your questions and get you the part you need! Have you ever tried to have a simple key made at the big orange store? I walked in to Ace and had mine accuratley cut in no time!”

“I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I moved to the area 8 months ago and visit this store very often. The staff is always super helpful and pleasant. I went in at 930 on Friday night and there was a couple buying a lot of things checking out at closing. Diane had her stuff with her and was walking out the door but saw me waiting and dropped her things to cash me out. That's exceptional service. I used to manage a retail store a long time ago and you don't find people like this anywhere. Well done!! I also chatted with a couple other guys, one in the lumber section and he helped me find a piece of PVC and then walked through practically the entire store to help me find something else. And there was David in the paint department who was also super friendly and helpful and walked me to various areas as well. A couple days prior I was cashed out by super helpful woman in the lumber section. You guys have done a great job hiring some great people. Thank you!!”
