“I am so grateful to have found Musicians Playground (MP)! After 25 years of doing little more than singing very loudly in the privacy of my own car, when for many years prior to that music was the majority of my identity, I rediscovered a part of myself that had been dormant, and it has brought me so much joy!

I think it’s easy as an adult to fall into routines that are mostly just productive and it can be scary to do something with the intention of just adding more joy to your life. Also, it’s really hard to meet new people as a working adult.

When I first called to find out more information about MP, a lot of things in my life had just shifted and I really needed to do something for myself. I wanted to be passionate about something other than my job (I’m a former speech pathologist and current special education team chair)! I was looking to get back into music, but I was also looking for connection. Seek and ye shall find!!

If I’m being honest, I was very nervous about the whole thing at first. It felt like a huge risk! Alyssa, the owner, assured me that MP was a community of adults enjoying music together. She sounded awfully serious though, even though I now know she’s just a highly trained musically talented goofball, and I worried. Would I be good enough? Would I fit in? Would it be worth it? Yes! Yes! And yes!

What lovely people, from every walk of life! What amazingly talented, engaging teachers! How remarkable to find a place where you can be true to yourself and have that authenticity mirrored by everyone around! What a wonderful sense of belonging! MP has increased my quality of life by leaps and bounds! Not only am I having so much fun in my private (voice with Tima, she’s unreal!) and group lessons (voice hits and piano fundamentals and band with Tima, Alyssa and Anika, literal rock stars!), I’ve had the unexpected pleasure of really loving learning new technique/skills (voice and piano) to the point that I am scheduling others that I’m gonna be starting soon (guitar).

Hey, if this chick, can sing with a band in front of an audience and have a blast doing it, then you can give MP a try! I truly cannot recommend Musicians Playground more highly!”

“I attended the Materials Research Society (MRS) international conference, which focuses on materials science. This annual conference is held at this venue. The facility includes a spacious area for large corporate exhibition booths. All floors are accessible via escalators, and there are numerous conference rooms available for presentations. “I held my pre-wedding event (Gaye Holud - traditional Bangladeshi event) at the Tirrell room without ever seeing the venue - and I absolutely LOVED the venue + team. The venue was extremely spacious and let in lots of natural light - the renovations are beautiful. And the team was just incredible to work with - Amy was there for me whenever I needed her help and always ensured I was taken care of throughout the whole planning process. Truly my favorite vendor from all of my events :) Thank you so much Amy & the Tirrell Room team ??”

“The Boston Tea Party & Museum is an absolute gem! The all-you-can-drink tea, featuring all the varieties from the famous tea bricks tossed overboard, was a delightful experience. The museum is packed with loads of fascinating history and is situated in a great location. The gift shop is abundant with unique and interesting items. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Boston!”

“Gorgeous Event Space is my go-to! From the time you walk in for a viewing to the booking process, it’s all done so seamlessly! The owners are extremely professional and works closely with you to turn your vision into reality! From event rentals to their wonderfully constructed party packages; it’s truly a one stop shopping deal.
I hosted my 40th Birthday in January and every detail was meticulously executed. It was a night to remember. I was super satisfied and appreciative.

I also hosted my Daughter’s Sweet 16 last weekend and everything was exactly how I envisioned it. The place was breathtaking and it all made my daughter’s special day memorable.
Even their on site assistant was top-tier. We are so appreciative of her professionalism. She was very helpful. She was amazing from beginning to end.
Gorgeous Event Space will always be my 1st choice to host a party!”

“Great location for a visit to boston, midway between Back Bay and the North End, close to the Common. Convenient to the Freedom Trail and Beacon Hill. Luxury linens and friendly service. Exceptionally clean. We would definitely stay here again. Didn't use the gym,but we appreciated the bottled water and snacks in our room. Also, having a fridge in the room is a game changer.
I used the robe and slippers provided. I only wish there were more hooks for hanging the robe and towels! Only one towel bar didn't seem like enough. Also the partial shower door resulted in water on the floor every time we showered. We loved the motion-activated low blue lights that came on in the bathroom in the middle of the night. What a great idea!

We had a premium king with windows overlooking the street in front of the hotel. Always nice to have natural light.

The bar was always crowded, perhaps because they seem to give everyone free drink tickets when they arrive (wine and beer only). The coffee shop adjacent to the lobby is excellent but always had a line.

My other complaint is a lack of streaming apps. Only spotify and you tube were available. Would have been nice to have Amazon prime and Netflix so we could have had viewing options from our phones.

Overall, a great hotel.”

“We had our wedding reception here this past weekend. I can’t say enough good things. Venue is lovely with a mahogany framed room for the cocktail hour. Very Boston Brahmin and classy. The Ballroom for our dinner and dancing was elegant. Service was impeccable, passed hors d’oeuvres and buffet were outstanding. Planning, communication and coordination ahead of time was all that you could hope for. I highly recommend for your next function.”

“I was a tenant at Boston Offices from 2018 through 2024 any my experience was exceptional. Each staff member with whom I interacted was helpful and professional. The facilities were clean and well-maintained - I never had even the slightest hesitation about hosting meetings there. Pricing was competitive, especially considering the services included. I highly recommend Boston Offices and would most certainly rent office space here again.”

“What a nice hall. Had my grandmother's 95th birthday party there and was great. Loretta is very accommodating and helped make it a great event. The bartenders Ryan and Judy went above and beyond to make the night a success. Will be spreading the word to people to hold their events at the lodge.”

“Last time I was here was 2008. There was a view of the harbor, now, it's blocked by very tall buildings and more are being built. Two new ones maybe 30 floors each being built in front of the North end main entrance. Otherwise, this is a stunning place. We were attending a volleyball tourney with 90 courts, 600 teams on a 3 day event. The is plenty of parking ranging from a garage to outdoor parking. Price I paid was $6 above ground but had to walk 15 min to the convention center. Prices can exceed 50 bucks. A car is best to get around vs a large pickup or Suburban. Food court inside was a let down. So we walked to a local restaurant. Awesome dinner.”

“I'm biased. I'm a knight. That said, the recently renovated function hall, lounge and game room offer superb venues for functions ranging from club meetings, to anniversaries to weddings. With 2 bars and a full kitchen and side rooms, it has everything you need for a grand affair in style. Plenty of parking and conveniently located on route 18 in Whitman, these function spaces have it all.”

There was an audio tour available if you scan the QR code.”

“One of the best locations to stay in Boston. Right by the Commonwealth Ave., 3 min walk to the Boston Commons, 5 min to the Public Library, 15 min walk to the Prudential Center. There are many coffee shops and restaurant nearby. The Tatte back bay location is 2 blocks away. If you would like to experience how it feels living in a 19th century building, this is the place for you. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. One thing could be improved is the breakfast. Otherwise, all happy with my short stay there. Would recommend it to my friends.”

“Boston Pizza Festival was ok...no need to get VIP treatment. I was there early so the lines went quick to get a slice of pizza, and there was no separate line for VIP. I did get 4 extra tickets. Pizza with beans was different.”

“The fantastic location and wonderful staff made for an excellent stay here! Located in the Back Bay Area, Westin is situated near my new favorite shopping and eating area, Newbury Street. It's central to many locations: 5-minute walk to the Prudential Center close to many restaurants, across the street from the Boston Public Library and also within walking distance to the Boston Common. What we enjoyed most though was the friendly service from all the staff we encountered. We checked in late around 5ish and our room wasn't ready because housekeeping hadn't yet finished cleaning the spilled wine on the floor, courtesy of previous guests. We booked a room with 2 queen beds but because of the anime convention, they were fully booked on this room type, so they offered us a king suite with a sofa bed. Never one to be surly to anyone in the service industry, especially one who tried their best to make things right for us, I accepted the substitution without complaint. They were apologetic and gave us vouchers for a free breakfast the following morning. I love a good service recovery gesture! At breakfast, we met warm and friendly Ezra who gave us recommendations for the Seaport district and chatted with us about his family, his native Barbados and his 6'1" teenage son. Then we met Freddy and Irene at the Club Lounge and again, super friendly and welcoming! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.”

“its a perfect base, especially if you are taking Amtrak / Acela. Its literally minutes walk and is in a safe neighborhood in downtown Boston. You could walk along the wharf pathway to north end or check out the markets or walk to Boston commons (all within 20 minutes). They recognize your ihg status so all is well. I watched a game at TD garden so took an Uber back - no drama. Rooms are pretty huge and they carry byredo which is nice”

“It's a great small venue, I wish they had raised parts in the back for shorter people, and also if they got a liquor license for events that would be fire, but don't know how realistic it is as I think it's run by BU students? I'll definitely keep checking out the lineups there.”
