stores are stocked, check-outs are quick, every counter has at least one person helping customers at all times, all because of a well-trained and supported staff.

market basket is almost always busy, though early mornings and late nights are less packed. if you're used to understaffed ghost-stores, market basket is not that!”
“Lots of choices of authentic polish specialties. Many fresh made items including breads and pastries. English seems to be a second language for many staff, but we worked it out. Store was very crowded with customers, but everyone was polite, patient and waited their turn at the counter.”
“Hi to all at Hannaford; we've been shopping at this market since moving to Uxbridge a few years ago. Although it is costly, we don't shop there often; we prefer Market Basket, which is further away. The store has been remodeled since our first visit, and the staff is different as well; high school kids moving on, or I am wrong as always. My interest now is in flowers as a means of conversation, not necessarily about the flowers themselves, but to learn something about them. I am not a gardener, nor do I want to be one. “I see that most of the negative reviews were from a year ago. I have been buying all my meats for years from here. I buy steak bacon Portuguese chourisa goat cheese and have never had a problem. The girls who work there speak English and help with anything I’m looking for.
I do agree with the person on the chicken marinade that should be put out in smaller quantities to make sure it is sold in a timely fashion. The bread and all items I have bought are marked with a price and you do get a receipt for what you purchase”
“There's a lot of good reviews but most of these reviews are not from legit common sense people. I've been buying things from here for 2 years now and what I noticed quite frequently is the produce not being up to par. Some oranges were moldy. That's dangerous and could really kill someone. Also the hot food section is very hit or miss. Always be careful. Let's note some of the food that's displayed on the premade food cold fridge , are dated 4 days from when they were made. So freshness isn't always a plus here at this family owned business. Now im pointing out vital things that they need to appropriately take action on. People could get sick from the lack of ambition these workers put into the store. Sure they can vacuum and sweep. But that should be the last thing to do for the day and not ignore moldy produce and expired food with wrong dates. Ok. Here's another legit thing. Everything that's not store related is hella expensive. And I mean 3 TIMES MORE expensive. For example. A box of cheez it's here is over 5 dollars. At Walmart it's less than 2.79 for a large box.
Here's another example. White castle burgers 8.19 for 6. Walmart it's 5.79
Another example Kimmy Dean breakfast bowls 5 dollars after tax ??? Walmart it's 2.59
Ok... Chips in general over 6 to 7 dollars and raos sauce ECT very expensive almost 13 dollars.
This is not a good look considering other markers are selling the same product for 3 times less. I would not recommend shopping a full cart here unless your a rich trust fund baby or a rich Democrat who feeds off of inflation while watching the hard working blue collars dish out tons of money just to fit in with the rich town society. Yeah yeah yeah. Sorry I'm not the type of guy who accepts hand outs and lives lavish. I actually point out the things that are wrong with businesses that others completely purposely ignore. Like I said these 5 star reviews are from people who are blind Litterly. They are too scared to speak on the truth about things In life.
Lets note one more thing. The meat is good. Probably better than most butchers. Why? Well you can see there is very kind older guys who have experience with butchering.
Another thing Some of the younger people are awkward and they make you feel awkward you can sense the depression off of them. I always sense energy and some of the people there have very negative energy....
Smile more maybe you'll go farther in life and bring your energy up, maybe some people are sad because they fail at having motivation to do a simple job.”

“This store was better than I expected. I have visited the Goldstar Blvd location and was less than impressed there. The staff were helpful and pleasant with finding things I was looking for and found someone who could understand me better when it was needed. They didn't have everything I was looking for though. Their prices were pretty good. You will need your own bags or pay for theirs. The self check out noticed the weight of my empty bags when I put them down while paying. The store was nicer looking inside than I was expecting and well stocked with what they did have.”
“Totally disagree with a previous commenter. Yes Market 32 tends to be more expensive but Market Basket does NOT always have what you need which is why I go there less and less. But I will say this about Market 32 you need to get a BELL in the Seafood Department because people are in the back and they don't know you're there and you could be waiting there for them for who knows how long. I feel stupid yelling for them and really shouldn't have to.”

“I had the best experience at this shaws location, there is a young man here, his name is Daniel, he works in produce, he was restocking the premade fruit cups and he was so friendly. The fruit looked fabulous and very fresh, Daniel told me that he personally is responsible for cutting the fruit and placing it on the shelves, he does a beautiful job here and always greets customers with a smile!”

“This is one of my favorite markets, but today, Sunday, November 9th, 2025, I went to buy some fish and asked for two and a half pounds. The man didn’t understand me, so I asked my son to say it, but he still didn’t understand and was very rude to me. He said he wouldn’t do it, and I felt so embarrassed I just wanted to leave. I finally said, “Okay, make it three pounds,” and he started throwing the fish around. He was so rude that he realized it and later apologized.
But I just want to say that employees need to be taught to treat customers with respect — we don’t get anything for free; we pay for everything, and things are expensive.”

Deli employee was nice and eager to help also.
The store was clean, in order and stocked well.
I spoke to the manager who also wished me a good day after we spoke for a short time.

“I just had a really nice/helpful conversation with Will, from 'Electronics'. I tried calling the CS desk 8 times, but I kept getting disconnected. (it might be due to it being 35 mins till closing, tbf) I live very close to Walmart, but really didn't want to rush there if they didn't have the ONE item I needed, because they're sold out quite often. So, I ended up pressing the button to be transferred to Electronics, because no other dept picked up. I was so relieved when Will answered, but felt a lil guilty since it wasn't his department or problem. I explained my issue & he couldn't have been any more kind/helpful! He took the time to walk to the grocery section, to see if my item was in stock! I really appreciated his help, & for going above & beyond his duties. Thank you, Will, I appreciate you!
