Comfort Suites Benton Harbor - St. Joseph is a hotel with friendly and very helpful staff who are accommodating and provide superb customer service. The location is a short drive to Silver Beach, though near some construction and traffic. The hotel is a bit dated but not shabby. Guest experiences with the rooms vary. Some found them decently clean, with comfortable beds and good water pressure in the shower. Others noted issues like rooms smelling strongly of damp mildew, sticky carpets, a missing ceiling light fixture cover, a hanging smoke alarm, windows that won't shut, and sub-par mattresses. Some amenities were problematic: the pool was closed, an elevator made a wild noise, phones didn't work to the front desk, a pull-out sofa was missing bedding, and there was no ice maker on one floor. Breakfast is typically described as good, efficient, and run-of-the-mill with items like eggs, sausage, and waffles, though its availability can sometimes be inconsistent. The hotel is seen as providing exceptional value for the price, working for families needing a cheap stay, though some guests would not stay again.
Rooms and service are ok. Location is nearby all shopping and food. It’s convenient.

The halls & rooms are clean. Yhe place shows its age. HOWEVER, maintenance is lacking. The sink water got reasonably hot. The SHOWER WATER RAN FOR OVER 10 MINUTES AND NEVER GOT BETTER THAN LUKE WARM. I couldn't use the shower or tub. We'll wait to see if breakfast raises or lowers 2 stars. DISAPPOINTED!

Perfect for road travellers, just to side of the road, silent rooms.
