“My wife and I were shopping there a few days ago for a white elephant gift and found something that was 50% off—a great deal. When we asked for complimentary gift wrapping, we were told that discounted items weren’t eligible. Fortunately, Lynne, who works there and does the gift wrapping, kindly offered to wrap it for us anyway. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and meticulous. The wrapped gift looked absolutely amazing—far better than we expected. Her kindness and craftsmanship truly left a strong impression on us. Because of Lynne, we’ll definitely be returning to this store. She is a real treasure, and the owner is lucky to have her. I sincerely hope they do everything they can to keep such an outstanding employee.”
“I just moved to Michigan and this shop has quickly become a favorite! The owner is very kind and cheerful and I really like the SIFT consignment shop at the back of the store. Such a great idea! I’ve found some great pieces here each time I’ve come.”
“This is the kind of shop that makes St. Joe special. There were delights everywhere we turned. Offerings are truly unique, delightfully whimsical yet with classic touches. These are the kinds of things you can’t find anywhere else. And the shopkeeper was so warm and friendly. We felt like she was an immediate and trusted friend.”
Two familiar names now share one storefront. Bed Bath & Beyond and The Container Store opened their first co-branded location in Fort Worth, Texas, on May 16, and the concept is spreading to nearly two dozen stores in what the company calls phase one.
Bob's Discount Furniture is growing while its competitors shrink. The Manchester, Connecticut-based retailer reported strong fourth-quarter results in its first earnings call since going public in February, with revenue climbing 8.2% to $648.8 million. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. CEO Bill Barton told analysts the company plans to open about 20 new stores in 2026 and sees a path to more than 500 locations by 2035, roughly two and a half times its current 209-store footprint across 26 states.
