“Hey guys dropping in for some QTNA, I just spoke with Tania and she was so helpful! Yes, Detroit Closet does buy shoes, clothes and accessories from 1-3pm on weekends. On weekdays it depends on how long they will buy but it’s based off their budget for the day. They open at 12 noon and close around 6pm. Hope this helps bc it helped me!”

“I come here about once a week to check out what's new. There are always lots of great finds if you look hard. I've gotten great Pyrex containers, Christmas trees, furniture, washer & dryers, and clothes. They have daily deals, like Tuesdays are typically $1 clothes. During the weekends they often do 50% off everything. The service is nice and everyone that works there is very helpful. They also do deliver for a delivery fee”

“Large salvation army store in oak park area. They are an active staffed drive thru & dropff donation center so they get lots of goods, clothes, furniture, dishes, jewelry, sports goods, kitchen stuff, etc. It will take time to go through it all to find good buys but I have. If you're donating near year end there can be a line of ?”

“We visited in hopes of finding furniture but there weren't many pieces we were interested in. The Vincent de Paul thrift store back home was huge. This one is a much smaller location.Donations drop offs are easy though! Drive up, put your stuff in a bin and you're done! Not sure if donation receipts are offered as there wasn't anyone manning the donation area.”

“Great and welcoming place. My children have gone here for at least 3 years for thier after school program and two summers in the day camp program. There is a reason there is a massive wait list to get in! Keep up the great work!”

“written by Christopher Parkinson,?????Absolutely love this place. Full of all kinds of treasures. Best thrift store I've ever shopped at and absolutely love the owners and employees I would go to this place over any other place anytime this place also has wicked good deals going on right now all the people that passed this place and talk about how they're not allowed to go in certain places it literally is posted do not enter or area off-limits because people could get hurt trying to go into the backrooms so all this talk about not being allowed to go in the back is funny to me because it is literally marked do not enter or do not go pass this point for that person's or every person's safety there is absolutely more than enough merchandise on the floors for people to buy there's nothing in the back other than scrap things that need to be thrown away and are things that are not being sold at that moment they owner has every right to Mark those areas off so let's get with the program. ????Sincerely,Christopher Parkinson.??????????”

“I drove all of the way from Lapeer to come to this thrift store just because the prices for the quality of the items I find has made my trips there worthwhile. I’d give more stars if I could.”

“We recently moved to the area and were in need of furniture and household goods as we left most of our large stuff behind. They were having a holiday sale on their furniture. I found quite a few pieces charming. There was a super helpful employee that let us know about the sale and delivery options. He also informed us that they were picking up more furniture that day and it would be out the following Tuesday. The prices were great. The staff was friendly. And they do have quite a bit of furniture, clothing and other household items.”

“I like shopping here even though their prices could be a little bit cheaper. However a worker there named Anthony is very kind and patient. He made my shopping experience a bit better.”

“This is the second Value World I have visited. I usually enjoy thrifting but this is one of those places where you need to be mentally and physically prepared to dig through everything since their stores are so packed. The prices are okay. I had a digital $5 coupon since I signed up for their texts. I put it toward a scarf for our toddler. The cashier wasn't overly friendly and didn't seem to be thrilled to be there but she did get us out expeditiously.”

“My grandchildren and I love going to thrift stores, and this is one of our favorites...We usually go there randomly at least once a month and leave there elated because we found something unexpected or a unique bargain we just couldn't pass up...The store is always clean, and they keep the merchandise neatly displayed...We give them 2 thumbs up...”

“If there is such a thing as a high-end Salvation Army, this would be it. The window displays walking in almost made me think I was at the wrong place. There were not a lot of home goods and almost no kids or baby clothes. The prices were double that of most Salvation Army stores.”

“As inflation hits everywhere, Salvation Army is no different but if you shop smart, you can still get a great deal. They offer a color of the week and anything that tag color is 50% off. Some days if you buy five clothes items of that color, they are all five for five dollars. The store is huge and fairly well organized. The customer service is good, but sometimes slightly understaffed.”
