The battery light for my key FOB lit up the other day and I ran to Advanced Auto. I walked in, and explained the situation. I kinda assumed that he’d point me to the batteries and call it good. He took apart my FOB, found the battery I needed, and installed it. It was just a simple battery replacement in a FOB, but that was probably about the best customer experience I’ve ever encountered. Thank you again!”
“I’ve stopped into the Perry Avenue AutoZone on two separate occasions—both during emergencies with my car. I honestly can’t remember what the first visit was for; my car is very old and seems to have a mini breakdown every few weeks (just like a person!).
Last week, however, I was driving home to Traverse City from Grand Rapids when my rear quarter panel finally broke loose and began dragging in the wind. I had to pull over three or four times along the highway just to keep reattaching it so I could continue driving. Eventually, I made it to Big Rapids, where I met Zach and Katie.
I walked into the store with the classic, “I don’t know if you can help me, but…” and Zach immediately jumped into action! Using some impressive zip-tie magic, he secured the panel well enough for me to safely continue my trip home. Meanwhile, I stayed inside and had a delightful conversation with Katie about her work, career path, and future goals.
Both Zach and Katie were incredibly kind—friendly, reassuring, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Before long, Zach had my car safe to travel again, and I thanked them both profusely.
I’m writing because I know they are likely wonderful with all of their customers, but people probably don’t take the time to put those experiences into writing often enough.
