“My senior father-in-law was almost the victim of a $15,000 scam, but for the attentiveness and care of the teller at the Canton location. As with all scams, he was told that a family member was hurt and in trouble and needed money right away. So, of course, he was ready to give it because of his emotionally elevated state. Fortunately, the teller at DFCU had a clear head and asked him to call us to confirm the situation. Of course, it wasn't true, and he didn't move forward with the withdrawal. If not for the quick thinking and clear head of the teller, he would have lost all that money. Thank you, DFCU, for 'rescuing' my father-in-law from what could have been a horrible situation.”
