“About a week ago, I came in with my small chainsaw for assistance starting it. I bought the saw at your store a couple of years ago, but frankly have not used it much. Without hesitating one of your associates (a nice, knowledgable, younger guy with some colorful tats on his forearms) joined me outside, got it started and even tightened the chain! After giving me a couple of final helpful pointers, we said goodbye. All without charge! This is an example of rare and wonderful customer service, so hard to find these days (especially at HD, ha!)

“I've got an old Toro tractor with a snowblower attachment, and the snowblower attachment gearbox mount had cracked and the gearbox was at a sharp angle. I only realized it when the chain slipped, so I knew I was in trouble when the inside of the case looked glittery from all the metal shavings from the gears and chain.
Mike and crew welded angle iron, not only at the top where it cracked, but at the bottom for added reinforcement so it wouldn't happen again or in a different spot. He replaced the gears and a bearing that were completely shot, and the chain. Furthermore, I didn't realize it but the chute blades had bent backward too, so it was pushing more snow back out than it was up and out. He tried to find a replacement but this thing is extremely old, so they bent them into the right shape. It runs like a DREAM. I had purchased it used and I don't think it ever ran this well in the last decade I've had it.
All in all, I was afraid of the cost but it was only 4.25 hours of labor for all that work, and the parts were very reasonable. They also got it loaded up into my trailer while I was paying, which was really nice! He might be a little crusty and abrupt on the phone, so you might not get the hand-holding service, but what he did for me saved my whole snowblower setup, and made it better than ever. When he walked me through everything they did and explained it to me, he was patient and not gruff. I'll definitely bring my business here, and recommend it to my friends and family.”
