“I had an unexpected issue with my car on the expressway right by Kern Auto. I was able to get my car to their business and they looked at it right away, fixed the issue and got me back on the road. They were accommodating, kind and respectful. I appreciated that they were able to look at it right away without any problem. Recommend them highly.”

“Nice station clean with lots of items. More expensive than if you went 15 minutes in either direction though. They also put weird holds on credit cards. Like they auth for $500 with a normal pay at the pump gasoline (not the semi pumps) which is just odd.”
“The owner of this place Ron, brings so much to the community, has vision, takes good care of his employees, has been creating jobs, and if you walk into the new upgraded North Lake store. you can tell he's completely a Class Act. The employees are customer service first oriented. Most of them. Lol. The city of Chelsea should be excited that he is there and encourage that kind of entrepreneurism in this area. I give him two thumbs up and five star rating. And the new upgraded North Lake store is breathtaking. you should do yourself a favor and visit it soon. five stars!.”

“Last night, my mom and I drove to Chelsea, MI to see a play at the The Purple Rose theater. On the highway heading north, the low tire pressure signal light came on. We pulled into this Speedway and asked if they could check our tire pressure and if needed, help us fill it with air? Connor was incredibly helpful and friendly! He checked all of our tires and one was about 10 pts lower than the others. He graciously filled it up for us. Mind you, this is not a full-service station. He went above and beyond to help us. And it was freezing cold. We went on to dinner and the show - such a quaint town! When we returned to our car to drive 1 hour+ home, the light came on again. We went back to this Speedway, where I was (now) able to use the air pressure machine to check and fill the back tire. It had dropped 22 pts in less than 3 hours?! Clearly, we had a soon-to-be flat tire. We went into the store, greeted Connor, and told him and his co-worker, Dalton, that things had gotten worse. We had planned to call AAA and wait at the store. It was late, and very cold. We then asked if maybe one of them could remove the tire and replace it with our spare? It was a big ask on a cold night. Dalton did so, for us - graciously and quickly. I held the flashlight, so I know how cold it was. While the snow flurries swirled and the wind blew, he patiently and professionally set everything up and switched out the tire. These guys are truly the best! I cannot recommend this place highly enough! The next time I find myself in Ann Arbor, I will drive NW, up a few exits, to bring my business to them, again. Grateful for an early Christmas gift - thank you so much, again, Dalton and Connor!”

“Hands down the best gas station. Staff is incredibly kind and greets me every time I walk through the door. I have looked at numerous stores for items without success and the owner was able to order quite a few items that I couldn’t find elsewhere. I’ve seen him go above and beyond for his customers. The liquor/beer selection is top notch! Always a pleasant experience!”

“Great gas station. Food is decent. Selection of alcohol is amazing. Staff is super friendly.
On 3/21/26 the food area was not properly staffed. Workers were way behind but they were trying. You could tell they were frustrated but doing thier best. Called in our order and told 45 minutes, we waited an additional 45 minutes on top until we received our food. Unfortunate.”
