“I like this dollar general but every summer for the last 3/4 years I’ve lived near it, there is NEVER air conditioning. I think it’s awful you guys make your employees work in the heat like that. I couldn’t even handle my 4 minute trip this afternoons let alone an 8 hour shift. That’s pitiful & you should be ashamed that getting it fixed isn’t a priority. Dollar generals pop up all over this country like a rash but you can’t afford to air condition your building? As long as your pockets stay full who cares that your actual hard working employees are working in hell.”

“Since the remodel, it is very cramped and it difficult to find what you’re looking for. There are also a lot of carts and broken down boxes in the middle of a few aisles which make it even more difficult to navigate around the store. Other than that, I’ve been coming here since it was built and it’s very convenient”

“This Dollar General does seem to be a little short staffed, but that hasn't stopped them from being super friendly and helpful. A couple times I've had to step around some piles of things just laying on the floor like it was a maze while they were restocking, but I can get past that because, as stated, they seemed to only have a handful of workers. There's a great variety of groceries and household products here, and with a location almost in the center of Grass Lake, it's very convenient.”

“Wayyyyyyy better than the Michigan center one. The one in Michigan center is a dump with no air conditioning and falling apart building and shelves. This one is clean, well stocked and has AC lol. And is near the Michigan center one. Might as well close the one in center and expand this one into a dollar general market like the one in Marshall.”

“I was in the south side DG this afternoon (2/6/24) and whoever the young man working the register was deserves a promotion immediately. Wish I had caught his name, but he had excellent customer service skills, and just had that positive energy. Give him a raise and promotion immediately! “I love this place more than I can say for their affordable coffee and amazing staff, but I must say I have been very disappointed in their coffee as of late. I go there every single day and I've recently noticed that the coffee just tastes like warm milk. Not sure if they are trying to save on the coffee beans, but it's made my morning coffee run quite sad. Also not sure why the swapped out the chai for something less spicy. I'm only writing this review in hopes that the Groundworks higher ups know that it's not the prices or the employees, it's the actual coffee that is my big issue as of late.”

“Not much in the way of any CHRISTmas decor left. What was left was 70% off at the front of the store on a cart. Flowers, plates, bags, and cards. Alot of Valentine's out on the shelf!”

“Recently the past few days I have seen some new faces and they are seriously the sweetest employees I've encountered there in a LONG time. Make you feel welcome when you come into the store and when you have to much stuff in your hands while in line go out of their way to give you a basket. Walking with your groceries? No problem double bagging for you. The lines have also been significantly quicker now that there are actually people doing their jobs!”
