“Small town, small volume, smaller store. They work very hard to utilize space. Great meat and dairy. Produce is not the best due to lack of volume they sell. Prices higher than chain stores. They try hard to offer good specials. Watch for human errors on your receipt. Don't talk as they ring up prices. Tell them you're a senior on Wednesdays or you may not get the discount. Sign up for a reward card for deals. Digital machine inside store for best special offers.”
“The dark-haired, short-cut, male checker was either angry or not a people person. Both times when I was in the store yesterday he never smiled, asked if we found everything...he was very unpleasant. The second time I went to the store, I purchased some items, and as he was bagging, I asked if I could have the single sized candy in my purse. He pulled them out of the bag and all but through them as me. It was very obvious he was not pleased.”
“I really enjoy shopping here because I find great deals and save a ton of money. I would like to point out that the people that rate low stars and complain about the close to expiration or expired (I doubt it) foods should really do their research on Daily Deals before complaining. Their website states that the reason they are able to offer such low prices is due to overstock and closed dated items. My only complaint is that they offer a discount to college students, but not to military veterans. Hoping this changes in the future, but still happy to shop here.”
“I just called Family Fare because of all things I could not find the expiration date on their refrigerated chicken noodle soup. The woman who answered the phone was so helpful. She actually went to find the soup and let me know that instead of the date being on the side of the soup like it had been in the past, it was printed in very small letters on the rim of the plastic lid. We had a good chuckle and I thanked her very much for her kind assistance which I appreciated very much. And, yes, I enjoyed the soup for dinner!”
“The cashier was friendly. The store clean and bright. Only thing is the bottle return is slow and sometimes it flipped the can around then it wouldn't except the can so had to try again. The floor in bottle return is very sticky. Other wise your Family Fare is far better then Coopersville.”
“Still a great place to go. Normally places wear out as we as your welcome but me and my kids still love this place and the people. I have never had a bad experience here nor do I foresee one these people treat you more like family than customers and do their best to get you what you need. As long as they are open I will always go here no matter where life takes me in the future it's worth the extra jog even if I move out of the area.”
“Best Local Liquor/ Corner Store around!Staff is very friendly and kind, and always have what you need on deck! A Go-To if your either stocking up or just passing through the area. From Beer and Liquor, to Soda and Munchies; they have you covered!”
“Great store and variety. Customer service ain't bad either, all the employees are pretty friendly. I believe it's far superior to all the other DG stores I've been to.”
“It takes two to tango. Or so I've heard. At Dollar General, they taught me how to do the tango by myself. And the foxtrot, salsa, and marinade. I can now marinade a chicken. They taught me. I lived here for a month. They took care of me. I owe them everything. I will do anything for them. I will lay down my life for them. I just ordered a hamburger. It will be good.”
“We just bought a steer from Heidi and had it processed at Byron Center Meats. The first thing we cooked were hamburgers and they were the most amazing burgers we have ever had. Can’t wait to cook the steaks and roasts!!!”
