“I don’t leave reviews very often, but I felt genuinely compelled to leave one after my experience here.
I want to specifically recognize Andre York, who was extremely polite, patient, ambitious, knowledgeable, and professional. Not only is he skilled working on vehicles, but he’s also impressively compassionate and very easy to talk to. That kind of genuine kindness and professionalism is honestly hard to find today.
I also want to acknowledge Shift Manager Dante, who was equally courteous, efficient, skilled, and professional. The team on 68th Street clearly works very well together and treats customers with dignity and respect.
Hands down, this was the best oil change experience I’ve had, and I’m 30 years old and have been to plenty of places over the years — Valvoline, Uncle Ed’s, Take 5, local mechanics, and other oil change shops. This was by far the most pleasant, honest, and comfortable interaction I’ve experienced.
Valvoline has an excellent crew at the 68th Street location in the Byron Center/Cutlerville area right off US-131. I will absolutely recommend others to this team and continue coming back myself because not only is it close to my house, but they consistently provide genuinely great service.
If I could give more than five stars, I would give ten.
I’m a busy person and usually don’t take the time to stop and leave reviews. Normally, if I appreciate someone’s work, I simply thank them in person and move on with my day. So if you’re reading this, know that this review was sincerely earned.
To Valvoline management: please recognize Andre York and the rest of the crew for the excellent work they’re doing. They represent your company very well.

I was supposedly 1k miles overdue for an oil change, but the technician said that my oil actually looked very clean, and he recommended I come back in 1,500 miles (and said I could generally go longer between oil changes). They topped up my tires for free and sent me on my way. I am saving my coupon and will definitely come back!”

“I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. These dudes were amazing. They were completely honest and up front and didn't try to upcharge me at all. Last time I went to penzoil and they insisted I needed full synthetic and it was so expensive for no reason. Performance plus didn't lie to me about that and it was so much more affordable for me. I also needed 5 new bulbs in my top brake light and they gave me a huge discount for that as well. They prioritize customer service over money which is rare these days. I've been trying to find a good place in the GR area for oil changes but could never find a good trustworthy place. I will be back and plan to go here for all future oil changes. I highly recommend them especially if you're a female that doesn't know much about cars. You won't get scammed like a lot of other places. They're good trustworthy people.”
