“Fast service. Ray needs to upgrade the parking lot so customers park correctly. Mark parking spaces. Designate exits and entrances. Safety is at risk in that parking lot.”

“The store is very clean. The gentleman who works there is very polite and respectful. I really appreciate them being in the community. However. I wish the city would keep the outside parking and walking areas cleaner.”

“Very friendly store and employees. Was very hot outside and we made a comment about not having ice, they have styrofoam cups and ice with straws in there ice cooker. These folks thought of everything.”

“Prices are reasonable if you're given the right one. Make sure you pay attention when certain people ring you up. Noticed one guy just punched numbers in the register and tells you a random price when I bought the same thing a few times is a row.”

“This is easily one of my favorite parties stores since I have been old enough to buy alcohol. Very well kept party store. Lots of items on reasonable prices. Helping neighborhood in a style. Very well decorated and clean. If you have not been here in a while its definitely a must if your in Hamtramck. The owner Mitch and brother Jimmy are the best. As a whisky aficionado, I appreciated his recommendation on a bottle and his approach to what was obviously a discerning customer in me. A great store to get the party started and going. As somebody mentioned, don't skip on the pizza. Quick access to cash and even bitcoins with the ATM and BTM present on site. Brand new machines. Prices are reasonable and they have a great selection of spirits and other snack, beverage and grocery items. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have been in the Hamtramck community for a while and have a great relationship with those who frequent the store.”

“This is a straight-up pharmacy, locally owned and operated. No frills except a row of (really exciting) vending machines full of intriguing toys. The staff is really friendly and helpful. That's such an understatement. The staff is wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable, and are good at making me feel comfortable despite some pretty heavy anxiety issues. The prices on the retail drugs are excellent, very competitive with prices all over town. They stock a wide range of medicines, as well as a few basics in medical equipment and devices. My partner and I have both transferred our prescriptions here, and have both been incredibly happy with the service.”

“Pharmacy staff is very nice and friendly. This was the only location that was close by for the Moderna booster vaccine. A big change from my last visit here years ago. The pharmacy technician was very rude and lazy. It was so bad that I had call for a manager. Not a problem from there today.”

“This store is the best store in the indian village area. I go there whenever i need to buy some fresh produce or meat and every week there are sales. I love the employees they're so kind and welcoming. The cashiers are nice and work quick with the bag boys who always help put my groceries away or take them to my car.”

“This is my husband's favorite store to shop. He goes their weekly to buy food for the family. I don't shop there too often but whenever I do, I do find what I am looking for. They carry "smoked pork chops". We used to eat them a lot growing up but I had not seen them in quite a few years. Imagine my surprise to find them there. Haven't seen them anywhere else and Kroger hasn't heard of them. I have to say they are pricey but I will splurge and get a pack occasionally. I was in there this weekend to pick up some to serve with home made potato soup and sweet peas but couldn't find them. An employee (named Jerome) was nearby going through the meat section and asked if I needed assistance. I told him what I was looking for and he immediately knew what I was talking about and went right to them (they had moved them). He was very helpful and I was very glad to get them. Thanks Jerome!”

“This medium sized grocery store keeps us well-stocked. They carry the Spartan store brand (now called Our Family). I find their prices reasonable and the staff courteous and knowledgeable. We eat a lot of fresh produce and there is a good variety of fresh produce. I also like the International section where they cater to the University community with Middle Eastern, Thai, Hispanic and Kosher ingredients to name a few. I recently wanted to make a Middle Eastern dinner and thought I might have to go the Eastern Market or Dearborn but was pleasantly surprised to find several types of lentils, spices, tabouli and falafel items.I don't like to go from store to store and really like that they are one of the few places that carry the daily Detroit News, Detroit Free Press and New York Times. It is my go to place for the free papers -The Downtown Monitor, Metro Times and Between the Lines.Recently I have gone to the pharmacist. He is so kind and takes his time explaining everything. So different from the corporate experience at some of the chain stores. They do a really good job of serving the needs of the University Community and the surrounding neighborhood. I get the impression that they really care. Since the owners are local the money stays in the metro area - another plus. But I shop there because the quality is good and the prices are reasonable. Why anyone would want to go to Whole Foods and be ripped off royally for the some of the same products is beyond me. They do have lots of organic at University Foods too. And you can do your banking. We are lucky to have them.I have also found baking pans, and other kitchen essentials. I've bought indoor plants that have thrived and are less costly than other places.”
