“From the moment we walked in we knew this was going to be a perfect stay. We were greeted by Michel, the guest manager, everything Detroit aficionado, raconteur and all around cool guy. Conversation always followed, like he was our longtime friend. Made time there fun, indeed. We stayed downstairs in the Holly room which was perfect for us. Clean, quiet, friendly staff and continental breakfast to start the day, all at a good price. We stayed for five nights. Location is excellent for walking and close to lots of activity. We know where we will be staying next time in town.”

“Stayed here for the marathan. Great location, as its only a block away from thr start line. The service was amazing! Dewayne at the front desk was super accommodating. The rooms were quiet and comfy. The valet was OK. the text pickup didnt work, so I had to walk down to give my ticket. No microwaves in the room. The lights are weird tho and they must be synced to other rooms because they kept turning on and off all night. Other than that, 5 stars all the way!”

“I feel compelled to write a five star review because the kindness and flexibility of the staff here completely made my stay. I arrived three hours before check in and was able to do early check in. I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste and they provided it for me. After my stay I checked out I wanted to go to the Detroit Institute of Arts and go to Dally in the Alley- didn’t wanna take my bags. So they kept them. These seem like simple asks, but it was how the staff communicated and made me feel was a stand out. I loved hanging out by the Siren Cafe/lobby, loved the cafe drinks. I didn’t even get to go to the bar because I was so busy! This hotel is worth coming back to because of location and service. I wrote four stars for the room because they are chic and comfortable but definitely restored from being an older building. Small things like a new paint job and some better art curation in rooms could really make this place standout aesthetically like their lobby floor does. Hotel is near shopping and restaurants and many things to do. I never had a problem getting a ride share either. At night traffic around can get busy. This hotel is exceptional for a solo stay, girls trip, romantic getaway. I probably wouldn’t take my under ten year old with me, it’s not adults only, but the spaces reflect adult space. Thank you Siren Hotel for making my stay so lovely.”

“In the spare of time I needed to crash some place and decided to come here. No lie I asked was the room good enough for 83 bucks he said it’s good and showed me some pictures. I said okay… I went into the room just for the day and ended up staying more days than I thought… rooms is very clean and so is the bathroom! I can’t stand a nasty bathroom at the rooms! Bed is very comfortable highly recommend. For the price and service it’s definitely worth it. My guy always looks out for me. They take pride into these rooms and clean like it’s their home.”

“We had such a wonderful experience at the Westin DTW, and I especially want to recognize the **front desk staff and the onsite manager** for going above and beyond during our stay. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, professional, and genuinely easy to work with. They went out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of and made us feel truly valued as guests. You could tell that they genuinely cared about our experience and weren’t simply doing their jobs—they were making an effort to help in every way they could. The manager onsite was absolutely wonderful and incredibly accommodating. Their kindness, patience, and willingness to help made such a positive impression on us. It is rare to encounter that level of genuine hospitality, and it made our stay that much more enjoyable. The front desk team was equally fantastic. Every interaction was pleasant, helpful, and handled with a smile. They were responsive, understanding, and made everything feel effortless. “Our room was spacious, and we had our own parking spot right in front of it. The inn's location is great; easy walking distance to downtown. Founders Brewing is close by. We felt safe. The owner, Mona, really aimed to please. Her breakfasts were delicious. Lots to do in Detroit; we're looking forward to returning. When we do, we'll stay at this wonderful inn.”

“Great location in the heart plaza area. Very cool sites to see. 5min from the bridge to Canada. They really making Detroit nice. 5 min from roostertail plenty of good spots to walk ride eskate. You're just a few minutes away from the Dequindre cut which is a great place to ride. If you want to just go cruise around town There's scooters everywhere that are electric for the Youth you just download an app and put a couple dollars on it and drive the scooter all around and drop it off wherever you feel like.”

“We stayed at the Viking Motel while in Detroit for a show at the Majestic Theatre and honestly… 10/10 for exactly what we needed 😂 The room was CLEAN, check-in was easy, parking was simple, and it was close enough to the Majestic that after tacos and margaritas at Candado, we could enjoy a lovely little walk to the show while pretending the margaritas had absolutely nothing to do with how scenic Detroit suddenly looked. Was it the Ritz? No. Did we need the Ritz? Also no. 😂 We needed a clean, comfortable place to sleep in a convenient location without selling a kidney for one night in Detroit, and the Viking Motel understood the assignment.. . Close enough for an easy stumble back after a few more good drinks and not have to worry about catching a DUI Would absolutely stay again for another concert night! We’ll be back! Perfect date night!”

“Lowley placement and quiet most of the time. Great atmosphere. Definitely cleaned up from the Covid era. I would consider it a safe and supervised area. Staff are friendly and are always around. Microwave included. Fridge is very small, but it's there. Right next door to Jazz Club dispensary, so you don't have to go far to pick up! Price is reasonable and fair. Pulling out onto Telepgraph can be a bad headache but not their fault, just watch the time of day and pull out when you can.”

“We arrived for check in at 4, and the line to the counter was about 45 minutes to check in. This is the worst way to welcome your guests at a hotel. The furniture in the lobby is quite nice and the vibe took the edge off of having to wait, and there was a very nice staff member offering to check bags in if any guests wanted to drop their belongings off and come back when the check in desk was less busy. The corner room we got was clean and updated and honestly better than I anticipated. The location is great if you're looking to be out and about but please don't reserve this on a weekend thinking you're going to get R&R. There's a constant engine revving on the streets below from guys who think they're auditioning for the next fast and furious movie. It went until at least midnight.”

“Starting with the good: the facility is beautiful, clean, and unique. My room was well-appointed with all the features you'd expect from a good hotel. Hamilton's restaurant is great, and the lobby is very comfortable. However, the issues were mostly due to staff inconsistency. Some interactions were great, with warm and attentive service, but other staff seemed like they simply couldn't be bothered to help customers. I understand that curating a great staff is difficult, but this experience pales in comparison to my other Detroit hotel stays like at The Henry.”

“I've been staying here temporary since May while looking for apartments and I have to say that it's been pretty quiet here. The rooms aren't bad,just old needs to be updated. The only problems I've had was the ants,rollie pollie bugs in the bathroom creepy lol and that their only cleanup guy is nosey and goes back and tells everything. The staff is pretty friendly tho..would I stay here again? Pretty much, it's reasonable and kinda comfortable just wish it had a kitchenette and allows small pets and kids...”
