“It’s a nice set up but very OVER PRICED. Like super over priced. The sale items are not really sale items. It doesn’t make sense when you can go to Meijers and get the same stuff for a lot cheaper. No customer service here either. I’m starting to think East Lansing is for people who do not speak or even smile. I bet if the items were not so expensive they might be able to make a lot more and possible get some staff who actually care. It wasn’t busy at all. It never usually is anyways but it might be if they lower some prices. Just saying.”
“Our daughter lost a QR/Access code for one of her classes that comes with the book and the associate at SBS first said they couldn't help and we had to go to publisher/McGraw Hill to get a new one. McGraw Hill in turn sent us back to SBS and we spoke to the SBS MSU store manager Michele.
She was very understanding and put us directly in touch with her Reps at McGraw Hill. Problem solved in less than 24 hrs after contacting Michele at SBS with new Access code.
My only suggestion is to let SBS associates know there is a solution w/o spending another $150.
5 stars for Michele and her Reps!”
“Although I haven't personally visited this store, I appreciate the culture of openness they have within their employees.
My son arrived back in town off the the Michigan Flyer with a dead phone and no way to contact me/me to him. After asking several other establishments for assistance and receiving their denials, he stopped at the bookshop he's enjoyed visiting before. He found someone kind enough to listen to his plight and charge his phone enough to make a call. He decided while he was there he'd purchase the book he had bypassed previously. He was very appreciative of this act of kindness.
Thank you and I'm planning my first trip in.”
