Magoo's Pet Outlet
5546 Fenton Rd, FlintThey're really kind here, and I come here a lot. Last time I was here a young man helped load my dog food, which was nice because I had just hurt my ankle, and they always load it for mom (she has a hip that rubs bone-on-bone).Three things to complain about, however:1. They won't stock Sunseed for budgies, but they will stock Sunseed Vita Prima for finches, gerbils, and every other creature. That's frustrating. I only feed my budgies this (the best) but numerous requests to stock it have gone ignored.2. I signed up for the rewards program years ago. I only feed my dog Victor Hi-Pro Plus. When I signed up for the rewards program, they offered 1 free bag of dog food if you bought 9 bags. Before I bought nine 40lbs bags, they changed it to 1 free bag after the purchase of 12. Before I bought 12 bags, they cancelled Victor dog food off of the rewards program altogether and I got nothing for free despite my loyalty. That was frustrating. I'd rather they had never promised anything for free at all.3. During the pandemic, they raised the price of Victor Hi-Pro Plus .50¢ a pound if you buy a 40lbs bag. That may not have been their fault, though? All of the prices skyrocketed and haven't gone down at all.

Pet Grooming

Happy Tails
1230 W Bristol Rd, FlintToday I took my sisters dog Bella for a haircut and was hesitant to leave bella due to a horrible experience my older sister encountered at Petsmart which she was asked to never bring bella there. Oh boy what a great experience I encounter with such professional employee Grace, who I asked if bella gave any misbehavior and she said not at all. Bella was only scared but behaved well. Thank you so very much Happy Tails bella looks amazing

Pet Care

Animal Surgical Center of Michigan
5045 Miller Rd, FlintI brought my 5 year old Belgian Malinois Ellie in for a fatty mass removal and just from setting up the appointment on the phone, I could tell we were in very good hands. Brought her in for a CT scan and a few other things on Tuesday January 13th, went in for surgery on Wednesday January 14th and brought Ellie home on Thursday January 15th!! From the front desk staff, to the vet techs, to Dr. Zellner, I couldn't be anymore happy with the care my baby girl got. Everyone here was so incredibly friendly and the communication was amazing; overall just a great place for this procedure.
For the CT scan / minor stuff and the surgery, I spent just about $4500 dollars in total and while that may sound expensive; the care my dog received and the open communication with staff was well worth the price. You for sure get what you pay for at this place and I can't stress just how amazing the experience was.
My girly dog is back home and resting comfortably while she is on her road to recovery!! Thank you to everyone at this facility for taking care of my heartbeat; I am already giving out recommendations for other people to come here if their pets have any major issues. I genuinely can not put into words just how impressed and happy I was with this entire experience. Bringing your pet in for any type of surgery is always scary but these guys and girls here took all the nerves away so quick when I saw how they treated Ellie.
Big thank you to Dr. Zellner for doing this surgery and big thanks to all the front desk staff, technicians, doctors and anyone behind the scenes for getting us in so quick like you did. Everyone at this facility deserves all the praise for doing the work they do ❤️ 100/10

Animal Medical Clinic of Flint
4495 Lennon Rd, FlintWhat an awesome experience! I'm new to the area and was looking for a doctor for my fur baby. Everyone was SO kind and helpful. The doctor explained everything and answered all my questions, the staff went over all pricing and I felt no pressure deciding what I wanted for my pet. When I checked out, I was asked if I had a good visit today. They truly are a gem, I will be recommending this vet to everyone I talk to.

Genesee Veterinary Hospital
1340 W Hill Rd, FlintI had a sick Guinea Pig that needed help on a Saturday morning. Finding a vet or animal hospital on a weekday that will see a Guinea Pig isn’t easy so finding someone on a Saturday morning for an emergency was looking pretty hopeless.
Not only did Doctor see my Guinea Pig at 9:30am on a Saturday for an emergency, he gave my boy a thorough examination. My sweet boy hated every minute of it but he got to convalesce at home in extreme comfort and was tended to for days afterwards so I hope I made it up to him.
Doctor prescribed and showed me how to administer the liquid antibiotics (which I had done wrong in the past with another pig). He gave me valuable tips. I’ve had several Guinea Pigs and had I not gotten some professional medical help, I’m not sure my boy would have made it through the weekend. He was spiraling fast. One of the biggest mistakes people make with sick Guinea Pigs is waiting too long to intervene. They are prey animals and hide illness well.
So, thank you thank you thank you for helping Little Pig. He’s such a sweet boy and he’s feeling much better.

Pesto's
5275 Miller Rd, FlintThis is a small establishment with excellent food and service. Any wait you have is worth it. We had lasagna which was one of the best I have had. Flavor was excellent and the portion was enough for two, if you can get yourself to share. Also we had one of the specials , Swedish meatballs. I will say it was good the pineapple in the sauce was a little sweet for me. Then there were the deserts. Carrot cake and grandmas puff pastry and ice cream, wow. We saved room for them and they were outstanding. The service was also excellent. Kobe was up beat and attentive, thanks Kobe.
