“We used The Kindel room for our reception and it was absolutely perfect. Can not recommend this venue enough, the space was perfect and the staff made everything so easy and run smoothly!”
“We host our Board and Management Christmas Dinner here every year, and once again the event was fantastic. The staff was attentive and welcoming, and the food was amazing—especially the tenderloin carving station, which was a highlight of the evening.
Haley is always a pleasure to work with and goes above and beyond to make sure every detail is just right. She truly helps make our event seamless and enjoyable. We couldn’t ask for a better experience and look forward to many more events here.”

“There are so many great concert venues throughout the city of Grand Rapids. There's smaller and more intimate venues for shows. There are more moderate sized venues for shows too. Finally, there are several much larger scale spaces for higher caliber artists and bands. However, GLC Live at 20 Monroe is my favorite by far. I say this with the utmost respect to all of the other spaces.
First and foremost this venue is conveniently located in the heart of Grand Rapids. One could even take the city bus to this venue. The Rapid station is also just a short walk from here. What's more there is a very appropriately sized parking garage just across the street. Whatever the needs this neighborhood can provide.
Throughout the years I have had nothing but great experiences here. The entire staff has always been the utmost accommodating, courteous and professional in every exchange. The venue itself inside and out has consistently been very well maintained. The security here has always been top tier also. Finally, there is not a bad seat in the place. These are the things that make GLC Live at 20 Monroe my go to for shows.”
“Had a great time last night djing for The Locke Wedding, staff was accomodating, elevator service was super helpful for load in as a DJ.
Power was more rhen adequate for my large System as well. Wonderful acoustics and a historical ambiance”
“Madi and Jennifer really saved my wedding. We had a family emergency, which caused my dad to spend most of the day in the hospital. In order to give me the best chance of having my dad be there to walk me down the aisle, they rearranged the whole order and flow of the day. They came to me with options so I didn't have to figure out a plan B on my own, and made choices for me when I was too overwhelmed to think. Our day wasn't what we planned, but it turned out to be amazing because of the work these two did. I can't recommend the Harris Building enough.”
“Amazing venue! It's so beautiful inside and has such a convenient layout. The staff is also so friendly and very helpful! We didn't want to have alcohol at our wedding and they made it easy to have that choice. We also wanted our own caterer and, while we ended up going with one of theirs, they did make it possible and feasible to choose someone else. Overall it was a very good experience! Highly recommend!”
“This venue was one of my favorite parts of my wedding! It’s beautiful, the staff are amazing, and there are so many different ways they are able to accommodate whatever it is you’re looking for. The staff were all so helpful during the wedding planning process as well as the day of! Truly the venue of my dreams.”
“The food was delicious and drinks were fun and tasty! We had Marcus surprise us with our cocktails and they did not disappoint! The service was wonderful. Definitely would recommend!”
“My home alley! I have (indirectly) worked and played here and the staff (higher ups especially) really care about the community and people and they just are SO SO accommodating. Thank you thank you thank you! Absolutely worth your visit. ☺️?”

“An awesome and historic Grand Rapids Polish Hall. I’ve been welcomed here (despite not being of Polish descent) for the last several years by some of the nicest people to celebrate Pulaski Days during the first week of October (sometimes starting the last week of September ?). During this time, the halls are open to the public (without requiring a membership) where Polish food, music and special events are celebrated to commemorate Brigadier General
Kazimierz Pulaski and his contribution to the Independence of the USA!
This last year I came for the kielbasa eating contest, but as a non-meat eater, I stuck around for the pierogis!
I highly recommend a visit!”
“Great place, great host, great art.. only thing that would make it better is if the art was labeled with its price or if the price was near it.. that Notorious B.I.G piece is NICE”
“We just hosted our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception at The Atrium! Everything was PERFECT! From our first meeting with Melissa to the end of the event, every single thing was simply amazing. Melissa was the best event coordinator we have ever worked with hands down! The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were too. The bartenders were so efficient and personable. Many guests told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to! If you want to host an event that runs so smoothly and stress free, do yourself a favor and book with The Atrium. Many thanks to Melissa & team for making the day the best!”
“I've been in this building for many reasons. All the restrooms are ALWAYS clean! I love that security is always present and usually very observant. Sometimes it's hard to get in from Fulton, but if you come down Lafayette you can easily park at the top and take the stairwell down.”
“I enjoy going to the dance events they host! All the teachers are great and are extremely welcoming! My favorite is the latin night and the latin classes. They also rent out the building for private events, so keep that in mind if you are ever in need. It's a beautiful venue.”

“Dinner out with friends was so fun! The staff did an excellent job from anticipating our needs to letting us know a large table near us was going to order soon, so we may want to get our order in first. The menu had lots of great choices. Several gals raved about the meatloaf. I had the fish tacos for 15$.”
“Lovely venue, comfy, very clean, and helpful staff. Thank you very much Cecilia who was friendly, flexible and resourceful for helping us plan the wedding day and made sure it ran smoothly from start to finish. We got a lot of compliments from our guests!”
“First time at a Golf Simulator, I will return again. The staff are very helpful and very attentive. There were other groups playing it was a good experience and a great way to work on swing in the winter months. They serve alcohol and food and we had a wonderful time.”
“Bob and Laurie were five star hosts for my brother-in-law’s celebration of life. They provided several items we needed and were always available for questions. The facility was the perfect size for our event and I would definitely use it again.”
“We had my daughter's brideless groomless wedding reception at the Waddell. The fajitas were amazing and the staff was so nice. Bree was amazing to work with. She made everything look so beautiful and everything ran smoothly. I couldn't have done this without her.”

“This is a great downtown hotel to stay in. Clean rooms. Quiet hallways. Pretty much all you could hope for from a hotel. Except that they charge $11 per person for a mediocre breakfast. Pretty much the only hotel in town that does this. Seems kinda petty? Yeah but there’s the rate and the parking costs. So keep your $11. Just my .02.”
“This was the place that Linc Up was using to give out free Thanksgiving turkey or ham to those that pre-register prior to the give away. The process was much more smoother, quick and easy to pick up the turkey or ham. Plus they gave away a $40 free gift certificate to the Giant Supermarket around the corner to buy any groceries.”
“This is my favorite hotel in Grand Rapids- hands down. The staff is wonderful and the management as well. Every time I walk in I see my name on the IHG board ( I LOVE THIS) and it makes me feel like a VIP...so thank you! The breakfast food is top notch and delicious and there is a happy hour 3 days a week with wonderful beverages and dinner food. The amenities like the pool, hot tub and gym are always clean and operational and so fun!!! The rooms are wonderful and if there is an upgrade available, the staff ALWAYS takes care of me and I truly appreciate it. This hotel has a wonderful ambiance as well. I'd like to give a shout out to the staff who took care of us on our recent stay- we got checked in by Lex at the front desk and she was so helpful, friendly and welcoming and also a BIG Thank you to Logan Kejbo ( GM) he was so very attentive to all the details (and always a smile) and made everything that was good- even BETTER! Thank you!!!!”
“Beautiful hotel, had a lovely stay. Only downside is no hotel parking. If you can manage streetwise parking, its really nice and there are lots of parking garages - just no lot for the hotel itself.”
“If I could give my wedding caterer 100 stars, I would. Maddalena’s blows every other caterer out of the water. From the quality, taste, service, to set up. It’s perfect in every way. I am genuinely so sad that I can’t just order the food at my wedding for dinner every night. My husband and I talk about how good it is all the time. The taste is just superior, everything is served hot, nothing is mushy or stale, the quality of the meat is tender and juicy, the appetizers are incredible, nothing was a miss. Our 200+ guests at our wedding said they have been to a million weddings and this is the best food they have had. It’s truly second to none. I’m THRILLED that we booked Maddelena’s and encourage you to do the same.”
