“The cashier's are working at least 5 lanes. A clean store and easy to realize where everything is . And , it's the Only Krogers that I am aware of in Detroit. There is no other grocery store that exists, anymore. And that, to me, is sad. It's also known as a Monopoly. No other grocery stores can compete, at these prices. The other stores in Detroit, are specialty type of grocery store. Nothing for us regular people in which to shop. That kinda upsets me. ?????”

“Nice, clean, convenient but small. The store has a decent meat section and surprisingly a lot of house plants for the size of the location.

This is not the place to load up on fresh fruits and veggies, but you can certainly get enough for two or three meals for a small family.

There are no bulk items and sparse health and beauty products.

They do sell alcohol, but I didn't look at the available selection. At a glance, it seemed like a fair amount.

There is paid parking on both sides of the street. The lot on the side of Trader Joe's is free. They validate it at checkout.

The customer service was friendly, a nice surprise these days.?

Overall I'd recommend it if you're looking for quick meals to cook.”

“I read about Detroit People’s Food Co-op and once I heard they were an African American led community owned grocery outlet I knew I had to pay a visit and support this business. The store very modern and beautiful, there were the most beautiful murals on the walls, and the staff/customers seemed very pleasant. All of the produce looked fresh, There were a variety of dairy products as well as dairy alternatives I’ve never heard of. I got some kefir drink, mushrooms, broccoli, and cream cheese. I plan on using these ingredients for some dishes that I like to make for the unhoused and poor. Thank you guys for your service and I pray you receive Allah SWT’s blessings in abundance.”

“Nearly every week I make sure to stop in to this Aldi to pick up grocery staples. Prior to the pandemic, they really did have low prices on quality items, but alas, inflation has also ruined this good thing.”

“Mercato Fresh offers a refreshing grocery experience that blends upscale presentation with everyday convenience. The store is clean, well-organized, and stocked with fresh produce, quality meats, and gourmet items that feel a step above typical supermarkets. Their flyer deals are great for budget-conscious shoppers, especially on meat and produce.

The pre-packaged meals and specialty items can be a bit pricey, but the quality is there. Staff are generally helpful, though service can vary depending on the time of day. It’s a great spot for picking up essentials or treating yourself to something a little fancier.

If you're looking for a local alternative to big-box grocery chains, Mercato Fresh is worth checking out.”

“This store is a gem. The tea selection is better than Better Health. They carry gluten free flours and the specialty sauces I need to drive to Troy to the Asian food stores for. Years back it was the bulk candy aisle that I loved, but now I appreciate the baking supplies and random shipments of Mackinaw Island fudges and McClure's pickles.”

“A wonderful and fun place to shop for groceries, their soup and prepared meals are very good and reasonably priced. I love this store I wish they had one near Belle River”

“Great small local grocery store offering fresh produce, great names in the deli (like Boar's Head and Kowalski), delicious grab and go options (salads, dips, grape leaves, rotisserie chicken!) Don't sleep on the meat section: while it is a smaller than a traditional grocer, what they offer is excellent quality (ribs, steaks, sirloins, kabobs, fresh Italian sausage, ground meats, even a meatloaf mix!) Folks there are super kind, attentive and helpful!!”

“best grocery store in Windsor, friendly staff, great selection of meat, cold cuts and European food. They always have deals and specials for those who have a tight budget. Their cakes and pastries are delicious. Support one of the family owned stores instead of corportate giants.”

“My go to store. Always clean and well stocked. Prices about average.

The recent addition of the chicken /fish carry out was a great idea. Had the chicken sandwiches and fries for lunch. WOW what an impression. Well seasoned and cooked. Taste rocked! Fries had lemon pepper on them a nice touch. Makes shopping day a nice day to get a treat for lunch as well.”

“Staff and quality are top notch. You’ll be treated like family here. If you’re out of town, come here. If you’re from the city, come here. Schwab’s and Primo’s is a strong part of our community, and one of my favourite things about being home in Windsor. You’ll find something that you like when entering the store, and I bet you’ll want to come back!”

“It is a good place, they have everything, the prices are a little higher compared to other places, but when they have offers, some prices tend to go down quite a bit, the service is good and the place is good.”

“Aldi has really been saving me so much money! Groceries are high everywhere. This store is the only place that I have found true financial relief while trying to stock my pantry. I'm very thankful that they're in the neighborhood”

“Shrinkflation everywhere! I was shocked at how low my bill was until I saw the size of the boxes. Seems like you're given half the amount of food for the same price (or slightly more).

Cashier was amazing.”

“The market offers a diverse selection of fresh produce, gourmet foods, and specialty items. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to explore and discover unique ingredients. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, providing excellent customer service. Whether you're looking for quality groceries or a quick bite to eat, Marcus Market is a must-visit destination in Midtown Detroit.”

“This is definitely one of my go to spot that I had to visit. This is an African-American owned grocery store, which is something you don’t see a lot of unless it’s like Caribbean or African immigrant American. This location had an awesome vibe, and it also had a message which was empowering the community and empowering the youth. Not only did they offer fresh vegetables from local farms, but they also offered classes to the youth for learning Spanish and martial arts. May Allah bless the owner of this grocery store and all that support him.”

“Dear Meijers,
We were so appreciative of you moving into the neighborhood.
Many seniors love your special days, independent Bakers and small owned businesses.
Please, if possible, when you sell your Meijers bioengineered bakery products you also give us real food to choose from.
It taste awful, especially the pies and cakes.
Thank you
Wishing you much success.”

“Quick. Easy in, easy out, good prices, good food. Make sure to bring a quarter for your cart, and your own bags. Place is busy enough that they're usually out of the spare boxes to pack up items for transport.
Also, don't be a jerk to the staff. They bust hump behind the scenes, it's not a regular style of grocery store.”
