I am incredibly pleased with all my interactions with Serra! Having had my BMW serviced here before this purchase I can say even their parts and service department has been great. I’m happy to now have both BMW’s and more centrally use them for all of my BMW needs.
Update 2025 - I hit a deer and totaled my vehicle that I loved! I knew the only place I really trust is Serra, so I ran back to Sam and he connected me with Jacob Sampson, and they nailed it again!!! Jacob was not only the most pleasant person to work with, he was really helpful and intuitive while helping me find just the right vehicle. I have been a BMW gal for a while now, and when the larger BMW lacked the feel I was looking for, Jacob had a list ready of vehicles he thought would meet my needs. His selections weren’t just any vehicle they had, he listened to what I wanted and needed and Nailed it! He is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and great at this job!”

“I stopped in because I was driving by after having stopped at Autozone, O'reilly and Advanced Auto and having no luck finding the part I needed. Decided to try ONE MORE store and I am so glad I did, because this will now be my first stop from here on out. They were the first place out of 3 prior that offered to order me the windshield wiper I wanted for my back window. I wasn't able to get it for the next day when my brother was going to be in town helping me with my car so I joked and asked if they would install it too, the one guy said he would be here the day it arrived and he had no problem putting it on for me. Well I forgot to stop in the day it arrived even though they called me, so went the next morning to get it and the one guy wasn't there, but the other one that had been in store remembered I needed help getting it on and I was fully expecting to walk away and have to figure out how to get it on, but he opened it right away and said lets go get this on, and he put it on for me! I am so incredibly thankful for Riley going the extra mile to help me out. I understand this isn't normal protocol for them to help out in this way so it meant even more that they did anyways. Because of this I will always start my search at NAPA!”

I just wanted to take a moment and recognize a particular employee from the Advance Auto Store in Lansing MI located on Larch St. On 07/31/24 I came into this store looking for a new battery for my vehicle. Upon walking in I was greeted by Dave an employee of Advanced. Dave advised he was willing to help me even though he was scheduled to end his work shift shortly. Throughout our conversation Dave was polite, professional, and patient in assisting me to make the best purchase decision for my vehicle. Dave took extra time to offer several different available battery options answering any and all question I had. Not once did Dave ever appear impatient, or frustrated in rushing me to make a decision even though his work day had now ended. Dave informed me this was his second job as he began his work day at 4am that morning, as he continued to show the same courtesy as the first customer of the day might receive. In my personal opinion I thought Dave did an absolutely outstanding job and is a true professional when it comes to what customer service and care should be. As a direct result of the customer service I received from Dave, I will continue to use Advanced Auto Parts as my go to in the future and I hope Dave receives the recognition he deserves as a great employee of this business, for the honest and respectful service he provided to me.”
“I had an awesome experience here! Two days before I purchased a new alternator for my 2007 Honda Civic in Grand Rapids. I was then able to drive only one hour before my electrical system failed again. All lights had grown very dim, radio out and transmission began not shifting correctly. The car sat on the shoulder of a major expressway in Lansing, waiting for a tow, engine not running. After 1/2 hour of the car being rocked by passing cars and trucks, the electrical system suddenly came back to life, so that everything was working, lights, radio, engine starting. I had the car towed to a Honda dealer where I reported this odd behavior and asked them to please check for a possible poor connection or short in the wiring. The dealer charged an up front diagnostic fee, but did not diagnose the problem with the wiring as I had requested. They only measured the voltage. They said the alternator I purchased the day before was no good, and that the only thing to do was replace it for $750.
I declined this and drove the car to University Foreign Car Repair. I found Mike was a very good listener when I described the odd symptoms. He said I might need a new alternator but that they were quite willing to perform a thorough diagnosis before reaching any conclusion. I spoke briefly also with the technician doing the work and with the shop's owner. Everyone was very professional and courteous. They discovered the alternator had not been hooked up correctly and also there was an apparent short where a wiring harness had been rubbing against the valve cover! No new alternator was needed! I was charged only for labor and some new connectors. My bill for their work was only $200 and car has been running great! I would recommend this shop to anyone. Five stars!”

“My name ia Mark Chumar and my 2020 jeep renegade hood paint was bubbling so after taking it to lafontaine they looked at it and found it still was under warranty .After approval process was authorized I went back so they could do a paint match and order a new hood which they did .after a few weeks I dropped it off and they replaced the newly painted hood and had cleaned up my vehicle looking like new cleaning it inside and out .Just like it was brand new .Iam very satisfied with the professionalism and care they took through the entire process front start to finish and very pleased .I'd recommend this lafontaine body shop to anyone who seeks a quality job and the entire staff there that will handle your vehicle like it's there own .These people's customer service is the best I've seen in years .
