“Travelled from Canada and arrived at 1am. We let them know ahead of time and they made sure to accomodate for us despite no one being at the front desk that late. They gave us detailed instructions on how to get into our room on our own, and the entire process was so easy!
Service was exceptional and the guy at the front desk is very friendly and accommodating. Check out time was 11am and as we were leaving we told him we would be sitting at the cafe next door till our bus back at 4pm. He offered to keep our luggage with him until we actually left so we could keep exploring the area! We really appreciated his attentiveness. Would recommend to anyone new in the area, perfect spot for exploring Detroit!”

“My husband and I have stayed here twice. Once in 2022 and once in 2024. In those two years, there have been a number of renovations to the building, and they are still ongoing. Where there used to be an art gallery is now Presley's, an incredible restaurant. The Library, a small bar with large attached lounge area is warm and cozy and offers live piano music. This lounge area is also where you'll find Reception. The main lobby area is beautiful and comfortable with plenty of space to socialize or relax. Our room, though on the smaller side, had everything we needed and was very enjoyable. There was a bar cart, coffee cart, desk space, large screen tv, side chair and ottoman, extremely comfortable bed with phone charging ports in the side lamps and spacious shower. The general feel of the hotel is artistic, classy and intimate. Perfect for a couples getaway! The location is great, within walking distance to restaurants, entertainment venues and local points of interest. There is also free public transportation which hits stops about every 15 minutes. While there is public parking available close to the hotel, valet parking is available and a nice option when staying in the colder months. If you're staying in downtown Detroit, I would highly recommend staying at the historical Aloft. Truly a beautiful and enjoyable experience every time.”
“Rooms were clean and spacious, love having the kitchenette. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offerings were good. Parking was easy and the hotel is easily accessible. The only negative I have to share is that when you pull into the parking lot you have to provide your last name and room number to enter the lot, great, no problem. But this goes to an intercom right at the front desk so you are openly saying to whoever happens to be around the desk at that time - the last name and room number. This is certainly not a secure method and should be revisited. Maybe connected to a phone line so it’s not over a loud speaker in the lobby.”
“I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn on Dougall Avenue in Windsor, and it exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and efficient, making the check-in process super smooth. My room was spotless and cozy, equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The location couldn’t be better, close to restaurants, shopping, and just minutes from downtown Windsor. The complimentary breakfast was a great, I enjoyed it.
I was genuinely impressed by the attention to detail and the quality of service at this Comfort Inn. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, convenience, either you are travelling alone or with you partner and family this place live uptown its name. I will definitely be returning for my future stays in Windsor.

“This is not a bad hotel to stay in while in Warren. The hotel itself is very average but it is very clean. The hallways, the rooms, elevators, common areas, the grounds are all really well kept. The staff is pretty nice and helpful.”
“This is a wonderful property. I have immediate family in the area and stay here regularly for a variety of reasons; sometimes happy (celebrations), sometimes sad (medical treatments, funerals, etc). While I deeply appreciate that it's clean and comfortable, what truly sets the Hyatt Place Detroit / Royal Oak apart is its incredible staff. So many of them are great, and Courtney is consistently the MVP. He's so friendly and skilled and funny and willing to go the extra mile. I also love that they have a simple bar where you can go to kick off a night out or unwind at the end of the night. I feel fortunate to have this option in the area, and I look forward to heading back to stay over Christmas week. Keep up the good work!”

“Nice hotel with clean rooms and good prices. It is your standard courtyard experience. The staff is nice and the overall atmosphere is friendly. On this trip, the restaurant staff was a little slow and a bit cranky. She was working alone however and it was a little busy so gave her grace. It was a good experience overall.”

“To start, I've never had the luxury of staying in a nice hotel before. So my experience could be different from yours. My sister and I came from Chicago to see a concert at Little Ceasers Arena. Check in time is at 3:00 at this hotel. However, the hotel let us get a room at noon. We wanted to be in a room as soon as possible due to our VIP access being at 3:00. We wanted to get ready for the concert, and decompress. They were able to make do with our accommodation. The staff is very friendly. The valet is complimentary, and they serve breakfast to your room. (Not free). The room was very nice. We had the king suite. The bathroom had double sinks and a biiiig shower. Super comfortable bed, and comfortable environment. The restaurant they have inside was open super late. (I made a review about that too). I give so much credit to them being open at 1AM. With the low staff they had a night, they kept going. The hallways smell so clean too! This hotel is amazing. If I can ever afford to come back, this is the company to go with.”

“I stayed for four nights and it was a very good stay, the bed and pillows were comfortable there is 24 hr coffee that was really great have. Breakfast are grab and go breakfast, egg sandwiches and other continental items on the go around table. The only thing I didn’t like was that they’re weren’t any microwaves in the rooms. “We only stayed one night, but it was pleasant. There were no surprises, which is exactly what I want from a hotel.The room was clean. The furniture looks like it was reasonably updated. Sheets and towels were clean. The bed and sheets were comfortable. There are some nice details as well, like the reading lights and USB ports at both sides of the bed.The staff were friendly, and we received text messages checking up on us at the beginning of our stay. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and free.I have no major criticisms. Troy (and Clawson) are not pedestrian-friendly, but that's not the hotel's fault. If you're a light sleeper, it's worth keeping in mind that the air conditioner is the smaller variety and they can be a little noisy. Ours was on the louder side, but it wasn't too bad and we slept just fine.The bathrooms are excellent. Like the room itself, they have been updated recently. The lights flanking the bathroom mirror are another nice touch - my fiancée found it very helpful when applying makeup. The shower is tall-person friendly, which is greatly appreciated.This is a hotel. It does its job well. It is comfortable, clean, quiet, and reasonably priced.Rooms: Recently updated with some nice touches, like reading lights and USB charging ports.”
