They fixed the issue faster than we thought and at a reasonable price. Ross made me feel comfortable that the repair was indeed totally repaired. “I was referred here after taking my car to the mechanic, he felt Spankys would be better able to assist me as he didn't feel comfortable tearing my front bumper open to get my turn signals installed.
I called Spankys right away and they were able to squeeze me in for an estimate (free by the way) that same day. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly smile from the receptionist. I explained my dilemma and Chris the shop owner came out to take a look at it.
After a quick inspection he was able to get the blue prints for the parts I needed printed out and an estimate drawn up. He explained the service throughly and made sure I was on the same page. Also let me know of possible delays and how long it would take.
My car was serviced the next week. I dropped it off Monday night after hours and received a call the next afternoon about a the slight delay (which I was notified in advance, so I greatly appreciate that) and by Wednesday morning it was good to go.
Chris was very helpful, transparent, and because of the previous work that has been done on the car (not at Spankys!) he was creative. As the original bumper was not on the car but was still able to get the job done!
He knew all I wanted was to be street legal and not interested in the aesthetics of the car but I'm sure if that's what I was interested he'd be able to assist me in that too!
Overall I would highly recommend this family owned shop as they are honest, affordable, and very helpful. I appreciated the great communication and transparency.
*knocking on wood* I hope I don't need to stop by for auto body work anytime soon but I know where I will be taking my cars if I need to get the job done! And again, highly recommend you check them out

“I have to give a shout out to Doug and Dons auto care in Hudsonville. We have used them for years and honestly don’t think we ever thank them enough!Over the Holidays my husbands jeep broke down, check engine light on and running extremely rough so not drivable. We left it with them and knowing how busy they are, waited on the news, anticipating the worst.Fast forward to yesterday, my husband called for an update. They had it in their shop for 2 days diagnosing and trying to get the code to display. They finally were able to get the code and fixed the issue… for $25.00!About 5 years ago my dad was battling Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and needed quite a bit of work on their Equinox. Doug took care of them for the parts only, saving them literally hundreds of dollars knowing how tough things were and donated all his time.These guys work so hard and I don’t think get enough credit for what they do. I’ve seen posts where people are looking for a good mechanic, and I know there are many good ones out there, but these guys, truly are top notch and we highly recommend them!If you find yourself in need of auto repair, reach out to them. After talking with Darren and going through some checklists, their nailed down the issue and got everything set. While we were at it, we got some new tires and some new belts. Everything was explained and detailed. Couldn't be happier!!”

“Bought a new Yukon XL with Jamie in late August 2024 and had an excellent experience. I went with a new model due to the high cost of used for this vehicle and was super busy at the time. Jamie and I texted back and forth for a day or so confirming information and addressing questions I was having. I was having a hard time getting to the dealership from GR to drive the vehicle during business hours, so Jamie had someone bring it to my home and test it for 24-48 hours. After using it for a day or two we realized it was what we wanted and we purchased it on Friday evening after work. Jamie worked diligently (and patiently) to get me what we wanted and a fair price on both the purchase and trade in on the SVU we were getting rid of.
