“The owner Jay is very kind as is his wife. Very reasonably priced. Jay has integrity... He cleans the room of a guy with no legs daily without complaint or charging extra. If I need a couple hours to get the money he is understanding and never makes me feel bad about it... He shovels the snow himself for the whole property. Hard working,kind, respectful man. I snuck my dog in the first week or so I was here and when he found out he simply asked that I take her out back to do her business... Wasn't mad... No extra charge... Since then I have been up front and honest with him (if I need extra time to pay or whatever) and everything has been more than exceptional.”

“2020 was so devastating to us all. My best friend and husband for 30 years left me. It was THE MOST traumatizing experience I ever had. Traumatizing due to no one understanding Covid. not being able to sit and hold your loved one hands while they are transitioning. No family to come by and console you because of Quarantining.Penn-Orr Funeral Home gave me some peace. They did everything they promised plus more considering we're in the early stages of Covid. Their concern and kindness were just what I needed. I was lost, confused, devastated, overwhelmed, and just didn't have the strength or mind set to do what needed to be done.”

“It’s definitely the best motel in the area on Michigan Ave. The price is super affordable and the rooms have comfy beds, hot water, good heat/ac and good cable. The owners are really nice people and are always understanding and accommodating. I’ve stayed here for weeks at a time and they have the best/cheapest weekly rates around. There’s a lot of other motels all up and down Michigan Ave and I will pick the paradise everytime!!”
